I have three beautiful daughters, but man did they do a job on my body! I have wanted a tummy tuck for the past 14 years, since the birth of my last child...and did I mention they were all born C-Section. Anyway, Im so excited and nervous and ready! Im scheduled for March 2nd and am absolutely counting down the days! I have a wonderful man in my life that is supporting me all the way!

My only fear is the drains...how long will I have them?

Hey girl!

How exciting!  Your day will be here before you know it.

Everyone is different with the drains.  It all depends on your body and how much output you are having.  The average is between 5 days and 2 weeks on the drains.  I had my first drain pulled two days post op and the second one came out on day 9 post op.

They are annoying but temporary.  I look forward to reading your posts as you go through your process.

Congratulations! You waited about as long as I did. My youngest of 3 girls is almost 14, and I finally had my tt a month ago! The drains are nothing to fear. They are just annoying after a few days. In a wierd way, the drain gave me a "job" to do each day when I would have to empty it and record the output. My husband emptied the drain the first 2 days, but I took over after that as it was no big deal. The annoying part is the tubing and where to put it to keep it out of the way. I wore granny panties over my binder and tucked the tube into them like a pocket. You will find an easy way to manage. Some drains come out in just a few days, some of us have them longer. Mine was two weeks. It will depend on your Dr. and how much fluid you have. Best wishes to you on your surgery and recovery!
