WORTH IT$6,800
So today I drove back up to michigan to get my septal stitches out... traffic was terrible): I drove all day for a 20 minute treatment. .. but! If you want you're care done right, it is worth one day out of your life (: it was kind of uncomfortable but not bad at all. I took some funny videos of him taking out some cotton balls from my nose! I'll see if I can post those later, but for now, I'm gonna pass out after a long day (:

Done with revision!

Alright, so I went on Friday, which is 2 days ago, to get my nose touched up! Since I didn't come in the day before for a little preop, we weren't sure what all we would be doing to my nose. From the pictures I sent him, we were thinking that as my nose healed, I developed a small bump. While this was true, I also had an unresolved problem with what I believe was my upper lateral cartilages. When I say that, I mean that my nose was thinner in the middle on the sides than the top and the tip, kind of making a figure 8 shape... if you can imagine that (: during my original consult, I had mentioned that I didn't really like that (my virgin nose had this shape, it wasn't from surgery) but he said less is more and if I don't like it later then we can do something about it. So when I went in on Friday morning, he even said he wanted to fix it to make my nose more aesthetically pleasing (: so with how happy I was from my original, I agreed and he explained how he would take some of my septum and do grafling on the low sides, as well as rasping to get rid of the bump.
I will also add that he said with the grafts, my nose will be a touch wider, but I'm okay with that, because I will also breath better (:
So I went in and got knocked out like last time, listened to him rasping away without a care in the world, woke up and went on my way.
So with my primary, I was so swollen and bruised even on day one. This time aroun, I can breath out of both nostrils, have very little swelling, and can only see a verrrrry slight light bruise under my left eye! I had my drip pad on for maybe 7 hours and haven't needed it since... it's almost like nothing happened!
As far as results, I AM swollen. Just not as severe! I'm wearing tape to keep it down so I can see that the bumps are gone (hopefully for good!) And my tip was brought back ever so slightly(he told me he did, I'm assuming to keep things in balance) but it doesn't look any different size wise or shape wise, which is awesome because I said I did not want a slopey nose! Maybe a little curve but not scooped! Ahhhh I'm rambling, I just had a coffee... sorry ????
So I also had stitches put into place to hold my grafts, which need removed in 2 days, which means a 10 hour drive for 10 minutes of care... which sucks! I'm hoping a plastic surgeon I know that lives close to me can speak with him and take them out instead to save me that day. I just sent an email to dr. Golden so we shall see (: anywayssss I'll keep anyone interested posted on recovery progress!

Glad you went back to get it fixed. He didn't charge you again right? Good to know the swelling and bruising was much less severe in case I need a revision. Our cases seem different but I'm so early on, who knows what my final nose will look like. Keep us updated!

No charge at all (: he told me from the beginning that since we had to do so much work that a touch up is a pretty good expectation. I've also read in lots if places that many cases go back at least once for some fine tuning! So whatever you end up doing, wait a year for everything to fully heal so you can see exactly what you would want to change... I also say that because it took that long for my swelling to completely go away and tons of changes happened within that time. Just remember that our noses no matter what are a million times better than what they were (;

I figured I'd let everyone who keeps up with all of these know what's happening!
So I still love my nose. It's almost perfect! I can breath out of it, not worry about it being the first thing people see... it's just right for me! However, I will be getting a slight touch up!
From where my bones healed back, a little bump developed on either side of my nose. It's not anything bad, but since I paid to have a nose with no bump, and knew going into this that a revision would be possible (he did a ton of work!) Then I'm okay with it!
I have my date set for august and will keep everyone posted on how it goes(:

You are adorable!!! I loved reading your review. Your post-op bump is small but I can understand wanting to take care of it since that's what you paid for! My surgeon is the same way; if anything doesn't settle right, he will take care of it, free of charge. Even with the slight bump, your new nose looks FANTASTIC- you must be thrilled!

How long did the bloody eye last? That's my huge fear! There's no makeup to cover it! I will be returning to work on Day12 and I'm hoping I don't draw any unwanted attention!

Awwww thank you! The eye thing was so annoying... it lasted a good month before it was completely gone! You can always make up a million different stories about why you have it (;
