Update on the Seroma

WORTH IT$9,000
Well what a journey this is! An ultrasound last week confirmed the suspected Seroma. On Thursday I expected maybe a needle but had a drain put in instead : (. I was assured that it's only short term and I'm looking forward to getting it out tomorrow. Not happy to be back to no showers but it's better than the bulge I had on the go. I continue to love my doc and the staff at Spamedica. The drain is a nuisance and even started malfunctioning on Friday ( after office hours of course) but being a resourceful mom of three boys I fixed it with some hockey tape! I've included a picture of my "friend".

Dr. Mulholland and his staff were fantastic. He really cares for his patients and reassures you in every way. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very professional. The staff was great and the option to stay overnight after my tummy tuck was also a good idea. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I'm so sorry to hear that. However, I must say I'm very impressed with your positive attitude! I hope it heals fast!
I too am so sorry to hear but at least it's being fixed now!! Do they give any indication of "why" this happened?
I hear it's a common complication especially since my tummy tuck was so extensive (hello...doc...you calling me fat? Lol)
I'm glad its being taken care of ....this sx is a big process but all in all I'm glad ur ok
Sorry to hear that you had to have a tube put in again, but I'm sure it won't be long. Get that Seroma taken care of. Looking great! How did you know it was a Seroma? I'm getting worried.
The drain was taken back out on Monday. So glad. I knew it was a Seroma because it didn't feel like regular swelling. Pushing on one side made the other side pop up.
glad drain it's out now and and the fluid is gone.
How is it going with the seroma? I had a seroma. Didn't need the ultrasound to know it. Mine was resolved in about 3 weeks with a painless reinsertion of my drain. It has stayed gone! Do not worry! Happy healing!!

Ma Ma Ma My Seroma?

Realized late Saturday night that I may have a Seroma :(. Waited all through Sunday and worried. Today the doctors office reassured me my life isn't over (hey we can all get a little mellow dramatic through this process!) and sent me for an ultrasound. We'll see what the next couple days brings!

You are looking amazing. I took a picture of myself once and didnt realize I was swollen. Noticed on the picture my belly button was really off center and I freaked out. Its all good again now but scared the crap out of me. Your incision is nice and low and looks really good.
Thanks! It's been a concern all along. Nice to know that I won't be on the beach a year from now looking down and going "why is it over there?"
