23 Year Old Looking for a Tiplasty and Alar Base Resection - Toronto, ON

I am a 23 year old female. I haven't notice how big my nose was for my face until this year. For the past year I've been so self conscious about how big my nose is for my face. I am going through with the procedure I've decided, for next year. I wanted to get a tip plasty along with an alar base resection. But I've notice that my bridge is very wide so I might get that done to if necessary.

I've made an appointment for a consultation already. But only one. The only reason is because there are very few plastic surgery doctors who are advanced in doing African American rhinoplastys in Toronto. It is very limited. And I am not willing to travel either. I will eventually narrow it down to 3, if I can find that many. After the first consultation, I will call another Dr to book another consultation. But I'd also like to know how much it'll cost for the procedure. Thanks in advance

Thank you for starting your story on RealSelf. I'm not sure what rhinoplasty costs in Toronto. You may want to go to this page of Toronto doctors who perform rhinoplasties and read through some reviews to get ideas of costs. Good luck and please let us know how your consultation goes!

Awww thank you. I appreciate it. But I wish it was cute. It looks good in person but it can use a little touch up. I would like it to look more feminine. it throws off the balance of my face. I was also planning on getting a chin implant to balance it out. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. Enough about me, Whats your story?

I felt no pain when I had my nose job (only discomfort). I was groggy from the anesthesia for about a day and a half. The worst part of my surgery was the physiological effect because I was not happy with my result.

Hey!! How's your search going for a doctor? I live on the west side and since there aren't many doctors here to do ethnic rhinoplasty, I've decided to go to Los Angeles to see Dr. Hamilton. Wish you the best in your journey :)

Hey! I tried writing on your page but I'm so new to this, I have no idea how to use it. My journeys going good. The consultations couldn't come any sooner. I have 2 consultations, one is free and one cost 100. I'm here in Toronto. Ya, there are very few doctors that know how to do African American rhinoplasty. My journey is just beginning. How is yours going?
October 21, 2014
That's good you're consulting with more than one doctor so you can see how each one is and their approach to the surgery. Mine is going okay so far. I had a few consultations with Dr. Hamilton and I'm at the point of trying to find a time when I can go do it. I just pray everything turns out well and I'm able to do it. Which doctors are you considering?
October 21, 2014
Yep, definitely. I have two consultations now. I would like to do it with this one doctor but hes very expensive. I might book a 3rd consult with him as well after the two that I have. Have you found any other doctors or are you comfortable with Dr Hamilton? Everything will be fine. I definitely need a change so I'm ready. I have a consultation on Nov 27th with Dr Robert Mounsey and a second with Dr lista on Dec 3rd. I would like to have the procedure done during the end of the school year, hopefully. What do you plan on getting done? Just a rhino?

Your nose, in my opinion, suits your face nicely. Your lips are full and pretty. You may end up throwing your facial features out of balance I am an African America female who had a rhinoplasty in 1986 for a deviated septum and flat bridge. My lips are not full and my eyes are salmond shaped and smallish so I felt my nose was out of balance with my other features. My PS thought we should leave my nostrils alone at the time and narrow them later if I thought it was needed. After getting my bridge heightened, I had a beautiful subtle change in my appearance. It is now the feminine version of my son's nose. However, you are the one who needs to be happy and I wish you well. If you are dissati

Aww thank you:) You are absolutely right. Ill just get rid of the flaring and bulbous tip. The bridge width and height fits my face. Thanks for the heads up:)

You are very welcome! Just remember to be conservative. I am a APRN and feel so sad when I see all the revision rhinos being done until the nose structure becomes unstable. Keep us posted and enjoy your beauty.
