Implant Removal & Lift - Best Decision Ever

WORTH IT$5,700
Back to doc today because the swelling of the left breast continued to concern me. She removed more fluid and a few stitches. She continues to remind me to do NOTHING but it is easier said than done. How do you explain to those around you that you can't do anything because you have a chest full of stitches because of a silly decision you made 9 years ago? I am off to Mexico for some R&R with my daughter on Sunday and will literally do nothing but relax there.....but no swimming :(.

You look great already!! So glad to hear how your journey went and how happy you are with the results!! Take it easy and heal well!

Thanks so much for sharing your story so far! I think you look great without the implants! Please do take it easy as much as possible. After all you've been through, you don't want to compromise your results.

Thank you for your story. You have a lovely body and like so many other ladies you look so much better without the implants. Take care.

I had implants inserted in 2004. I was age 37, highly athletic, and after the nursing of four babies for a year each I had saggy little breasts that were screaming for attention.
I liked them for a while, although they pretty much ended my long distance running hobby since they were too uncomfortable to run distances with. WIth less exercise and bigger breasts I got bigger, although at my heaviest I was 5'4" and about 135 lbs....but I looked bigger and I was very unaccustomed to that having been a fit petite person all my life.
Last year I started thinking about having the implants removed, particularly since I saw myself approaching the age at which my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. The mammo tech confirmed that implants make detection fallible and that was enough to convince me it was time to get these things out.

Not sure what my breasts would look like once the weight of 300cc of fluid was removed, my surgeon suggested that she could use a syringe to remove the fluid in her office before any surgery was done. It was brilliant!! It enabled me to immediately see the look I would have post-explant, and make an informed decision to proceed with the lift.

I am 8 days post-op and had my first opportunity to see under the bandages today. The surgeon had to remove a lot of fluid from the left breast that has built up because I have not been taking it easy enough and I the stitches will remain in for several more days, but my breasts already look so much better. I can imagine how beautiful they will be as they heal!!
I will provide more pics as the healing process continues.
