Rhinoplasty and Buccal Fat Removal - Mexico
ORIGINAL POST
Well, next week I'm having my nose job and Buccal...
WORTH IT$4,300
Well, next week I'm having my nose job and Buccal fat removal with Dr. Gutierrez! I'm nervous, but getting more excited. My nose doesn't need too much work, just a bit of reshaping and refining to look more feminine. My cheeks, have always been chubby. Even at my goal weight I have disproportionately larger cheeks.
I consulted with Dr. Fuentes, but his computer generated image of my proposed after I felt was too over-rotate at the tip, and then I never heard back from him. I contacted Dr. Gonzalez and never heard back from him either.
Dr. Gutierrez office got back to me immediately, and the Dr. even called and consulted with me over the phone, so that made me feel really good.
My concerns are my nose looking "piggy" in the end, and being able to see into my nostrils even more than is possible now. For me cheeks, I'd like a more refined and less puffy look.
Hoping when it's all over... I'll feel it's worth it :)

I live in San Diego county and met my driver at the SD Airport in the Cell Phone Lot. He was a little late due to heavy traffic at the border but that's ok, we left about 830am. He's a little quiet, so for some people wanting to talk off your nerves you might have to wait till you get there lol. I just took a lil cat nap, got to the Drs office in about 25 minutes.
Dr. Gutierrez office is in a large medical center type building. There's a big billboard of him outside too! I was like, "wow, he's kind of a big deal" haha! When I got in the office everyone knew me by name and I filled out my paperwork. The Dr. was passing to another area and greeted me- he is AMAZING. When he talks to you it's like you're the only person in the room- complete attention and sincerity. Right away I felt comfortable with him!
The office is small but bright and clean.
The nurses took me back to change into my gown and take pictures. After that I hopped on the bed and she started on my IV. Thank goodness that's when Dr. G came in to talk to me since he totally took my focus off the IV, which I get anxious about. We talked about my goals, and his opinions about what would look best. He said the angle of my tip to my lip is lovely and he didn't want to raise it (yay no piggy!). He said the little bump on the bridge would be gone, and he'd take in the nostrils and trim excess cartilage on the tip. And he said my cheeks would have a slimmer profile after the Buccal fat removal. I'm hoping to increase the prominence of my eyes and lips by decreasing the size of my cheeks and nose.
Soon after I was headed right into the OR! That's when I started getting nervous... But before I knew it I started feeling really good- and then I was out like a light.
Woke up in recovery, a small room with three beds and separator curtains. First thing I remember is feeling pain, my eyelids felt so heavy, and I was uncomfortable. The nurse gave me pain meds right away and I became more comfortable. After about an hour or so I began to feel more normal and wanted to get dressed and have my IV out. My nurses said not yet, but they brought me some juice and changed my drip pad. Eventually I was allowed to change and my IV was out, yay! My nurse said I was so happy and in good spirits it was "scary" haha! I was ready to go.
I left with my antibiotics and got back to SD about 5pm.
First night was fine, slept on a memory foam pillow and neck pillow. A little bruising but I'm using my arnica and bromelin. Not in much pain, just discomfort. Very swollen, especially in the cheeks. I've been icing.
Ok bye for now :)

do you feel like he didn't understand what you were looking for during the consult, or just wish the time spent was less rushed feeling? I didn't have a long consult but I felt we were both on the same page with what I wanted and what could be done so I was ok with it. I'm feeling pretty good :) anxious for the big reveal, it can't come soon enough!

Hi! How are you feeling?

April 11, 2015
Hey there, nose wise pretty good. Had an emotional day yesterday and did some crying (not about PS) but I read it won't affect results. My bruising seems at it's height today, and turning blue and yellow. Swelling is going down a bit.
