Hello beautiful ladies! I've been visiting RS as a speculator for a few days now and I fell in LOVE with all the positivity and support you ladies share with one another!!! I was wow this is REAL supportive family...so I figured it can only make BBL my experience that much easier!

So I did some research and I was torn between Campos and Salama...
When I looked at Salama I was like wow...but when I looked at Campos..HE GAVE ME LIFE!!

I loveeeee the way he slims the waist on his ladies and creates these beautiful hour glass figures! I couldn't believe the transformations. I also looked at Jimmerson but I didn't like the excess belly he left on his clients and the lumpy/denty results he had, and a few othe PS that all seemed to have the same technique.

I felt almost like I could identify a CAMPOS picture before looking at who perfomed it.

I'll post the pics that have me sold on Campos thus far, I think they're amazing!!!!!!

So! Today I called the Campos office and was having trouble getting through due to me calls failing...so I went ahead an sent an email inquiring about the procedure. I got a call back from Hannia who was very nice and professional. She asked that I send pictures so that I could get an estimate...I still asked her what the normal average or range was and she stated approx $3500-$4400..depending on where the lipo is drawn from and my body type.

Im 5'7 about 166 pounds ( I wear a size 8 to10 in jeans)
Im and athletic build so I have no hips and the butt that I did have (which was mostly baby fat) disappeared once I became an athlete.
I have a soft low butt so all it take is a pair of tights or tight to make it look FLAT :(

So following the phone convo I recieve an email about what she needed as far as pictures goes..I had to tape my Iphone to a wall and record a video..then I screen shotted the angles I needed and the video played ..they specifically asked that you have someone else take your photos and no mirror pictures so i invented this technique.! LOL

Sent the pictures and she said I should have an estimate in a week!? -_______- ( I guess he's really busy and it is a weekend)

Hannia gave me info on the SFO airport and the shuttle that will take me to the site and suggested getting a passport I was planning on using a Birth Certificate...

Im planning for March 11th which is my Spring Break that way I wont miss school and I'll be requsting that week off for work as well...

In the meantime I'll be waiting on that quote, planning my extended stay there as well as getting a Passport....I need one any way. Oh and still reasearching other PS.


I have a ton of questions and this post ended up longer then intended....so ill post my questions in another post.

So since my first review I received my estimate after 24hrs which was 4675...for lipo in the lower back,waist and stomach. My estimate said 600-700cc per cheek idk if that is specially for me according to my pictures of if that's just a part of the email everyone receives but hopefully I can get about 800-900 just due to the survival rate. I'd be ok with 6or 7 once I'm fully healed.

Today I received a date of may 21st because I told them I wouldn't be able to stay but 5days during my spring break. Everyone seems to think I won't be able to return to school and work 7 days post op so I'm now looking at summer vacation.

I've been speaking to recovery houses now to find the best ones to fit my needs and budget. So far I like Grace Recovery and the private rooms, and the fact that she's from Louisiana. She offers a discount for groups of 3 so if anyone is traveling the same week let me know.

ALSO if anyone has any suggestions on where to stay please feel free!

And Lana also told me that the passport card will work just fine...so ill be paying $55 to get that!
Oh yea I did find a death in 2010 in my research for Campos...at first it scared me but it is major surgery and despite the country it could happen in any OR.

IF ANYONE IS HAVING TROUBLE GETTING SOMEONE ON THE PHONE...just press 1 for Spanish and ask for English! The lady answer in English anyway...

I have completely changed my mind about Dr. Campos!
Although I do feel he gives great results...I do not have very much trust with in that facility...it's just too much inconsistency and I feel that if I have a bad feeling I should just go with my gut. Reading other posts here on RS and on MMH many ppl are experiencing the same price changes, extra fees, and other underlying "come ups"

I am now looking at Dr YILY DE LOS SANTOS! :)
Loved her results she's just a good at her contouring as Dr. Campos. I have just submitted my pictures and I'm waiting on my quote! I read a review saying her results are soft and the butt never had to go through the softening stage. I also liked the email that The clinic sent out..alot more informative. I'm getting off work. i will be back when I get my quote!

I just got my quote from Dr.Yily and I am pleased! I sent her a couple of wish Picts 2 of them being from her site of clients she's done...and 1 of Kaylin Garcia.
She seems pretty straight forward with telling whether or not to expect result similar to the wish Picts but as long as I can get the small waist and more butt than i have now..ill be pretty happy!

She also included underarm lipo in my quote along with the waist flanks back and abdomen... I do not want arm lipo at all I need to be able to use my arms right after the procedure, for whatever reason. So I replied that ill gain if I have to to avoid that (which I gain in my arms) I just noticed that

. I'm going to do some serious planning to avoid rescheduling after I send my deposit, still May though. I began applying for the passport card when I was considering Campos...now ill need the book. I need to book a flight while they're cheap and a condo or RH.

FYI Yily or her assistant are replying to emails within 30minutes right now. I sent an email at 6:40 got a reply at 6:50 AND 6:51! March 11th is my date!

I cut on the TV and the KATIE show happens to be on the screen...the topic is Dying To Be Beautiful about deaths and tragedy via PS...is this a sign? Lol. The lady died of a fat embolism after lipo and fat grafting...the specialist said it occurs in 1 of 500,000 procedures. The surgeon was not board certified, took a 3 hour lipo course and practiced on rats in Vegas...that was the only experience he had before opening a Facility
in Florida. Interesting information...

This is the second show in relation to my BBL...Saturday it was MTV True Life and the girl got a BBL...she has no complications on camera atleast

My passport is on it's way back! Online is says it should be here 2/13/2013!

I paid for the passport book and an application overnighting at the passport office...it's been two weeks since I submitted my app. So I'm very happy and I will go ahead and book my flight and stay at the BNB. My passport was the only thing I was worried about not getting here in time.

At first I was gonna stay a JMSpa but when I emailed them in Spanish they responded within an hour saying to send it in English, so I did immediately and no reply -_- that was Monday at 6-7Am I emailed again Tuesday still nothing.

Idk if their booked my dates and just don't care to waste their time with me or what.

So I found a Bed n Breakfast $35 that I loved..had good customer reviews and everything so I emailed the lady ( in Spanish) 2 days ago and was pre approved same day for my stay, she emailed me back in about 30mins. I just paid the 240 for the week and its pending right now.

It's $35 a night has cable A/C and WiFi
It includes breakfast and they have like lobster and pasta meal for like $6, and other meal preparations.
$40 round trip to the airport (18mins away)
$35 for massage
$20 per night for post-op care (this tells me they've had patients stay) I may add this the first 2 nights if needed.
A bed and a couch bed
No extra charge for guest
They change the sheets and towels every 2 days.
It's right along the sea wall.

So if anyone wants to share the room being that theirs 2 beds feel free to PM...if not I still think its a pretty good deal.

This is not a recovery house where they help you bathe and wait on you like nurses. They're Dominga is not a nurse, this is her business. She offers rooms to guest not specifically post ops. Yes she does advertise care but she's not a nurse.

Before booking it states new towels and bedding every 2 days...it would be nice of her to change bloody sheets but she doesn't necessarily have to because what she states is included in the price is "every two days"

It would also be nice of her guest to bring chux or a shower curtain to sleep on if they were aware of the drainage that occurs post op.

She states there are fees for transportation in the ad before you book. I don't mind that because it's already cheap. You have full access to the kitchen an a mini fridge...One grocery/snack run...stock up...and wallahhh!

She offers a bed and breakfast. Her sister cooks periodically but it is like $6 for those meals.

A BnB is not for everyone. I'm determined to work through the pain because when I return to my family who knows nothing about this after 7days post op I plan on "acting normal"

So if you are considering don't go in expecting someone to be obligated to check on you every hour, and help you put your socks on and change the guidelines because you start your period or drop something. Not for $30. These people have their own lives outside of the house and are free to come and go for hours at a time, just like their guest.

As far as ROACHES infestation thats a different ball game. COMPLETELY.

Everyone has different experiences so I won't let someone else's bad experience make mine bad. I won't go in expecting anything more than what was advertised.

Going in negative you most likely leave the same way.

It's always good to check the embassy for travel warnings. Luckily there are none for the DR.

Just got my passport it took 3 weeks regular processing.

I think I've found the perfect place at the home of a Doctor whose last name happens to be Robles(not BBL Robles :D), who also happens to have a live in maid. I was told I'd be in good hands, recieve help with my recovery and Anything I needed in terms of food..I could ask the maid and just tip her.

I've also been checking every airline and discount site...tonight one of my customers offered to put $200 on my flight (565)...and a trip to London lol. I told him it was just relaxation vacation... I just booked it...if he gives me $200 great if not oh well...I won't be asking for it.

I found a doctor that is willing to write my prescriptions, ill use my express scripts for that. I'll see Dr Robles is willing to write me prescriptions...

I'll relax and pack a week in advance. I'm packing very basic.

I've decided to go ahead and change my date from March 11th to early May.
The reason being I don't feel like regretting going back to school and working 10hr shifts after 7days post op...i drive and 2 hours to school and back everyday and idk how im going to do it.
May is my only other option with school being done and I will have more vacation hours accumulated by then. It's also the week of my bf birthday so I'm going to use this time off work which is also my spring break and the flight that i booked, to go on a trip with him and his LB's.
I just find it alittle more important to me than sx, I never know when ill get another chance to do it so I'm very excited about my week long trip. Booked a nice resort.

I sent Yira an email for a new date and I'm waiting on her to recieve it. She just replied to my confirmation email for 2weeks ago Friday...so. I've been calling all 3 numbers with no luck and I'm not going to keep running up my bill for voicemails.

I FINALLY spoke to Teresa at Yilys office and I am not a fan. I had my Spanish speaking coworker call for me and rescheduled me for May 7th. She confirmed my new date for May 7th. My semester doesn't end till the 10th but I was willing to email my professors to take finals early and all that stress...

It took me 20minites to get my priorities straight...as I called back to take the only other may date the 21st!!! I was sad. I kept trying to negotiate different days in may but they were firm on May 7th or 21st. Come to find out Teresa never changed it to the 7th at all I was still on march 11th...I'm glad I called back.

I was like you mean to tell me everyone paid their deposit? She said yes.
So I took the 21st :( I'm so sad,but I'm not gonna cram all my finals to go on the 7th, I just can't.

Make sure you talk to the same person when you call. They have women who answer the phone and try to help and it's a relief that you finally get ahold of someone but the communication there is minimal. Teresa confirmed me one date yesterday then come to find out Teresa never actually changed my date so so Jane Doe actually did what Teresa was supposed to do, and now Yira is emailing me confirming the 7th which I've already scheduled and had Jane Doe change it to the 21st...I've responded to Yiras email that I should have been put down for the 21st. I'm spending 1.99 per minute trying to get Yira on the phone because I feel she's the most reliable...I have to call back in an hour...(1.99 is alot but my apps are not clear and are dropping calls)

Yira just emailed me talking about they have me down a breast reduction and lipo....-______- I'm just gonna breathe for a minute.

So I'm getting ready to cancel Yily due to the unorganization of her team.
I sent Yily my $500 deposit I January, I feel that there is no reason why they shouldn't have the prodcedure I'm getting the date I'm getting it and the proof that I sent my deposit.

I changed my date to May 21st confirmed my procedure and sent my Paypal confirmation and when I call theyre STILL requesting this information.

I sent an email stating that I have already confirmed this information numerous times with Yira and Teresa and if they're unable to find it in they're records I will be requesting a refund from Yily or filing a dispute with Paypal...I got a response same day saying "Ok, Good" whatever that means. I'm in the process of looking at other doctors in the Dr Republic due to the $600+ plane ticket I've already booked.

So I emailed Duran on Friday she responded early today and I’ve been able to have a back and forth convo with her answering my questions as I send them.

Her quote is about 1000 more than Yily which Im ok with because it seems that Yily gives the same 2900 quote for a BBL for everyone regardless of body type (unless you need a TT or BA/ BL)

( she was able to give me my may date but with the extra cost I’d like to push back to early June to avoid penny pinching)

She does require insurance with is not included in the quote,post op meds, and recommends a 10day stay. So her quote plus the meds, insurance, recovery stay, and flight change fee, would equal sx here in the US…. BUT I still prefer PS in the DR and MX and here’s why….

I feel like the ladies with the better more drastic “WOW” BBL results are from the ladies that are more overweight (no disrespect), have had children or received a TT, compared to those that don’t have children, need to gain for sx, and have a lower body fat. With my body type I need a doctor that will do aggressive lipo and FIND the fat on me. I need more contouring skills than anything, and I don’t find the US surgeons are as good with that compared to the DR or MX. Im almost 5’7 about 168 and athletic/lean. I’d be lucky to get 600-700 cc (Campos told me 600),but I want like 800 at the least. Im not trying to gain because I gain in the face and arms and I don’t want arm lipo. BUT Im still doing my research and I’m not really in a rush like I was before.

I've been kinda comparing Yily Duran and even Perry and Schalzer (Idk how to spell his name and don't feel like looking it up....but I still prefer Yily and Durans sculpting and YILY's incision placement...I hate those little Knicks that I see on alot of these other doctors post ops...and being of a lighter complexion I really don't want these little dark black spots all over my body and butt...I only saw one of Durans girl that had dark scars under her armpits,back and top but crack...then again there are creams that help...

I'm trying to figure out what my phone situation is going to be like while I'm gone...will my phone not work at all or will it just be expensive to use it?
What if I bought some type of pre paid phone?
I didn't want to take my phone (or any valuables) over there to begin with especially if its not gonna work...not because I think they'll get stolen more so just less to keep up with. So I may buy a cheap $20 To Go phone from Walmart.

When I pack I'm only taking what I think REALLY need...I'm not taking anything extra...I plan on coming back with nothing but my perscriptions just for a hassle free trip back, no luggage no baggage nothing. Any chux, wet wipes, wife beaters, maxi pads and all that stuff I plan on packing can be disposed or left for someone else that's recovering.

I was thinking about coming back 4-5 days post op...and if I were to be in excruciating pain, I'd just rather be in pain in my own home, my own surroundings...some may say well what if you come back and get an infection or whatever, I feel like I'd rather be admitted and treated for any complications here with my PCP, where my medical history is known and I can communicate if I had the have open heart surgery or something bogus like that. I came to this conclusion because I see women here on RS that travel from NY to GA of FL for surgery and fly right back...in my research I saw that infection usually occurs in the first 72 hours...so if I'm alive and well, free of fevers, able to keep food down ect,draining reasonably, I'm coming back, I don't think 5 days can make that much of a difference from 7. Hopefully ill get to see Yily first, and if she doesn't take my drain out ill take it out on day 7 or 8 myself.

I also pushed my date back again because my menstrual starts on the day of my sx and I don't feel like dealing with that, just more time to prepare and observe so I'm ok with that.

I have seen BBL results that I'm not too much a fan of with the clothing off...but with clothes on the butt look perfect....I cannot have that...it would be a waste.
Not because I'm trying to impress anyone or be naked all day but I would like to be able to wear a bikini and not look like I have two objects in my cheeks. Some popular post ops on here get alot of recognition for their results that I personally would be very unhappy with, I sometime have these "is it just me" moments. Dr. Jimmerson is my least favorite doctor on this site.
I am so picky and particular about EVERYTHING, and i wont be happy with just any result just because its "bigger" ...I will be so upset a full of regret...if I had a big butt that I felt looked "ugly". My signif warns me about this because he knows how I am, it just worries me, but I am confident in Yily.

When I first joined RS there were a few girls planning sx and weren't planning on telling anyone...at least not their families...but since then I've lost track of who they were..
The only person that really knows its official is my bf and my coworker that speaks Spanish and helps me communicate with Yilys office.

I have a plan of telling them I'm going on vacation but to a surrounding city maybe even Miami or a cruise...then I plan on going to Dr coming back and just returning to my normal life...I figured if they ask ill say I've been corset ting or I started birth control and its making me thick or something but idk...idc if they speculate as long as I go can come back safely....they can think and assume what they want. I'm able to hide pain very well..I've broken and fractured bones, torn ligaments, and hidden it just to be able to compete in the past and I'm sure ill be able to hide any discomfort I may have with a bbl.

I'm looking at that early AM flight with Jet Blue that lands in DR around 3AM...I could probably sit there to kill time before being On my way to CIPLA for 630-7.

June is such an EXPENSIVE flight month!!!

I'm trying to avoid paying 50-90 at the RH or BNB for the day I arrive (10pm) and overnight stay at CIPLA (for which I wont even be there at all) that's 100-180 I don't have to spend.
I just don't know how safe it is to have sx 4hours after landing. I looked online and most say you should have surgery in general for a week after landing and wait 3weeks after surgery before flying back. Either way in breaking both of those rules.
So I wonder how big of a risk difference is landing at 1030pm vs 3am....?
An other thing is the return flight being 16hr+ with layovers (I use KAYAK.com). I was thinking flying from SDQ to FLL which is a 2hr flight...then catching a flight (that leaves 20min after landing) from FLL to DFW or Houston which was a 3hr flight nonstop that way I won't have to sit 8 hours at JFK way up in NY! It came out aprox $30 more expensive but it's faster.
The flight I already have I'm going to use on something else because the Change fee + flight differential is a waste.

Do they ask for the email with the quote? I see Yily has gone up a couple hundred for a BBL, and being that the office doesn't have the very best organization I wonder how they know what everyone was quoted.

I've gained weight which is good for sx but ill be graduating next month, so all my family will see me and notice the weight gain and by June they'll see me smaller than I was to begin with...but oh well.

RealSelf was very helpful in the beginning but now that I've researched everything I possibly can I don't find it that helpful anymore. I seem to only follow Yily girls pre and post op with similar body types to mine...and I don't see as much of that anymore. I think I kind of know what to expect from the DR, Yilys attitude which sounds alot like mine, and the RH which Im planning to stay a short time there. Other than that I probably won't be back til June before I go. I only receive email updates from a couple of the girls updates I like but other than that RS annoys me.

I have a new sx date scheduled for June 7th.
I am traveling alone but not looking for a RH Buddy as I decided to book a BNB. If you want to buddy up to sight see I'm game!
