Thermage is a nightmare that has turned my life...

Thermage is a nightmare that has turned my life upside down. I have spent thousands of dollars on rectifying the damage, running in and out of  clinics. I really agree that it was not good of Oprah to recommend it... it is a disaster. It is dangerous and can damage your face, your mind and your wallet. I wanted to look younger, but ended up looking decades older with a skin so damaged that i had to undergo several treatments to get my face back. It took me 2 years to look normal again. I still see scars that i know will never go. Now i can't even leave my room without make up.
When the doctor started thermage, it hurt and it burnt. I felt as if someone was scraping the skin off of my face, with a hot knife from the furnace. It burnt like hell and i could feel my skin breaking into bubbles as if it was boiling in hot water. The pain became worse by the time i got home.
My face was flushed, red like crazy, burning bad and by morning my fever was 102. I rushed to the doc the next morning, and he informed me that i had suffered a severe infection. He kept asking me if i had been applying chemicals on my face before coming in and i almost yelled at him that i had done NOTHING! He prescribed some medications and asked me to call him if there were any changes on my face. By the second day, my face burst into blisters. There was white stuff oozing out of the blisters and the pain was unbearable now.  I was horrified to see my face. The fever was in control thanks to the medicines and the pain was milder than before but the oozing blisters made me hit the roof.
By evening, the bisters were accompanied by a rash so red that i looked like i had painted my face red. By then my sister was freaking out and we decided to go to another doctor. I went to another doc the following morning, who bandaged my face and gave me a series of medications and injections to bring the infection down. I had to take an off from work for 3 weeks.
By the time i recovered, my face was still red and the blisters had left permanent marks. My eyes were swollen still and i looked awful.  It took several treatments and several months before the redness and the swelling reduced. After that, the scars were  the next thing to deal with. I have not applied any chemical or gone for any chemical treatment after this thergame experience and by my family doctor's reccomendation, am waiting for the scars to diminish on their own. I also don't have the courage to get my face touched ever again.
Today, i still have those scars and i have to use heavy make up to cover them. I look worse now, but i will never go for any chemical applications ever again.
Thermage is a nightmare that still makes me shiver.
