I am 38 years old. I have 2 sons ages 11 and 15. I currently measure 5'2" and weigh 171 lbs. I have comptemplated having a tummy tuck for many years after having my children. Finally the time has come where I will get it done. I reside in New York. I went to 2 local plastic surgeons and both quoted me $14,000 to $15,000. Which I thought was outrageous. I never wanted to leave the country for my surgery, but afterwards thought it would be the best option. After alot of research I have choosen Dr. Walkiris Robles in Santo Domingo, DR. I have been in contact with her assistant, Laura Castro, via email and texts. I have been quoted $4600 for a full tummy tuck, and lipo on my waist, inner & outer thighs and for a 10 day stay at the Recovery House. I did the CBC blood test first to make sure all is good. Thankfully the results came out great. My hemoglobin level is 13.4! I am a mixed bag of emotions. I just purchased my plane ticket so its official now. My husband too is very nervous. I do not plan on telling anyone until after the surgery is done. I don't need people giving me negative feedback. I am already nervous as it is. Before my departure to DR, I will post pre-op pictures as I continue to lose as much weight as I can. Wish me luck! I hope and pray I made the right decision in choosing Dr. Walkiris Robles. I thought to do this to help other woman going through the same process.

Thanks for your post @Love2travel... I too chose Dr Robles for my procedure scheduled for April 14, 2013. I will be having Lipo on my entire stomach, back, love handles, armpits, and waist. My total quote is $4100, if I decide to add the Brazillian Butt lift it will be $4500. I have done a lot of research and I've seen so many good reviews for Dr Robles so I think shes the right physician. I have been in contact with her assistant Laura via emails, text messages, and a couple of phone conversations. I wish you luck on your procedures. Please keep me posted about your experience and I will do the same.

Oh, thank you I thought I was missing seeing them (: I am thinking about going to Dr.Robles also. I am worried if something goes wrong when I get back to the US.what will I do.
I'm hoping my primary care doctor here will help me out. I have seen him a couple times to get all my test done and he is fully aware I'm going to the DR for a tummy tuck. He prescribe me to see pulmonary dr since I'm a smoker. Having the test done I gound out I have asthma and my primary dr sent me am email thru my online chart he wants to see me before I go and is squeezing me, plus he was booked up when I needed to see Jim to get my physical once he found out I was going out of the country got tummy tuck he gave me appointment the next day. My whole family has been going to him for over 13 years. I can only pray if I need him he will do what he is suppose to due a be a doctor and help me out. Plus my OB/GYN knows im going so hopefully one will help me. II have read other stories on here where girls call other PS and will find one to help of course for a fee.
I pray everything goes well for you. I cant have my Tt until July, so Iam still checking thing out.
