I drove today!

I was able to drive to the store and pick up a few things. I'm not in pain much anymore but actually standing up and walking much can be very tiring. I walked and leaned on the handle of the cart for a bit of support.
I took a shower by myself last night too! I took another today and about half of my steri strips fell off. Nothing too nasty to see. Big scar, as expected.
I have another post-op tomorrow morning. Hope all is well.

Oh, as far as the allergic reaction, it's clearing up. Still a bit itchy but much less than a few days ago.

Tummy improvement

Yikes! Better results but an allergy.

Getting stronger by the day, and having less pain. Swelling is down as well. Still wearing the binder pretty much 24/7, sleeping on my back with my head and legs elevated to reduce stress on the area, but got my drain out on Thursday.
I'm super itchy and from the photo, you can tell really irritated by the adhesive used with the steristrips. Unfortunately, the benedryl is helping a bit, but progress is slow, so it's one of the more unpleasant things I'm dealing with right now.

I'm still accepting help from my husband to shower and not doing any of the housework, caring for the children, or really leaving the house much. I think if I had to I could- like if I worked a desk job I could probably be back to work, but I'm being careful to not push it. Compared to the mastopexy/augmentation this surgery has been a much more difficult recovery- both in limitations, amount of pain, and duration. I knew it would be all of those things, but it's still hard.

My Mom came to stay and help for my surgery and is going home Today, I think we'll fare OK with just the ramped up babysitting at this point because I'm becoming more self sufficient and spend so much of the day that my husband is at work sleeping.
