I inherited bulgy, puffy upper lids and after...
I inherited bulgy, puffy upper lids and after years suffering from allergies my lower lids are aging pretty badly as well. My husband suggested that I consult with Dr. Daniel Greenwald. My husband works at Tampa General Hospital so he knows a lot of the Dr's and their reputations. So I went in to his office and after a consultation, I have decided to go forward with an upper and lower Bleph with the incision done externally to allow for the extra skin to be removed. My surgery date is a week from tomorrow. I have been researching this for months and I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks to all of you that have gone before me and have shared all the good and bad about this procedure. I can't wait to give you all an update after my surgery.
The big day!
Surgery went perfectly. Dr. Greenwald is such a sweet guy! I woke up this morning feeling quite anxious but my husband assured me that Dr. Greenwald is the MOST meticulous person he knows and a true perfectionist. I felt a lot of comfort from that because my hubby is pretty meticulous so if he thought Dr. Greenwald is, then he must be! Dr. Grenwald is also very kind. He came in and talked to us and made me feel so much better. Explained that he is conservative and doesn't want me to have that "wide eyed" look and we can always go back in to the office and take off a little more skin if needed but you can't put it back on if he were to take off too much. He made me feel very confident and took away the anxiety.
Surgery lasted one hour and then I was in recovery for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Pretty groggy when I left the surgical center.
I had my hubby take pics of everything.
So far I am a little uncomfortable but not unbearable. I'm putting saline soaked gauze and little baggies of frozen peas on 20 minutes of every hour. I can already tell that I'm going to love the results. I don't have to raise my eyebrows to see! Yay!

Day 2
Well I survived the first night of sleeping in a half sitting position. I had to take a pain pill at 2:15 am because my stitches were stinging and I couldn't get comfortable enough to stay asleep. After that I was able to sleep pretty well. This morning I am having no pain, very little swelling and feeling really good considering.
