Better Breathing and More Confidence - Sydney, AU

I had a closed Rhinoplasty on July, 7 months and 8...

I had a closed Rhinoplasty on July, 7 months and 8 days post op and love the results. there is still a bit of swelling at the tip but still needs a few months to go as the tip does need the most time to heal.

A little brief history i had broken my nose twice at a young age and had a bit of a hump and difficulty breathing and always felt self conscious about people looking at my profile and was also hard to wear glasses as they would other sit to far up or to far down.

Aesthetically speaking the bridge of my nose looks perfect to me it's not to low or high and works in harmony with the rest of my features.
the tip is still a little swollen so i'm yet to comment on that when the proper time has passed.

Overal it has been a pleasant and exciting experience which i will go though in detail:
When i first arrived at the hospital i signed my papers and was sent to my room the nurses were really nice and atmosphere was quiet pleasant and watched a bit of t.v as there was quite a bit of time before the actual surgery.

I was somewhat nervous and excited at the same time a nurse came to check me and brush up on a few things such as blood pressure and so on and made me feel very comfortable.

After some time i was visited by my surgeon who was very kind and thoughtful and also by my anesthetist who made me feel very safe after i was taken to the surgery waiting room and then into the theatre where i had to be put on anaesthesia and before i knew it was counting down from 10 and blacked out when i first woke up i was a bit loopy from the anaesthesia which is normal there was absolutely no pain the only thing that felt uncomfortable was the gores in my nose which felt like i couldn't breath but after about 2 hours i got used to it.

After that i was taken back to my room which a slept a bit more and woke up to a delicious dinner and was monitored all night by very nice beautiful nurses i had to have ice packs around my nose and as morning came i was visited by my doctor to make sure i was ok i was then picked up and brought home where i had to take pills given by my doctor to help with pain and to prevent infection i was advised to sit upright when sleeping and keep the ice packs on to help with the swelling i had very minimal bruising but still no pain the only uncomfortable bit was having to sleep up right.

After about a week i went back to my doctor to remove all the bandages and was very happy i was a little scared about the tip as it was bit high but that was just the swelling after about 2 weeks most of the swelling went down and after 5 months most of my swelling had gone which i then had to go for another check up my surgeon was pleased with results and stated i had about 30% swelling to go which this part can take time.

overall the surgery was a success and mostly comfortable with no pain every one really mad an effort to make sure i was well and good i feel so much more confident and it is absolutely worth it!

I still have one more follow up to go to where he will revise my final result i will keep you updated about this.

Please if you have any questions please feel free to send me a message and i would try my best to answer it :)

I had done my research and found the top three doctors that i have come to like but ultimately i had to choose one and i'm very happy with my choice. my doctor was very qualified and has had about 15 years experience he was very considerate on what i wanted and he understood the anatomy of the nose and what the female and male nose should look aesthetically and so far he has achieved this result.
