16 Year Old Implants GONE! - Sydney, AU

UPDATED FROM Trolley Dolly
2 years post

2 and a half years post explant and still happy!

WORTH IT$8,300
I'm still glad to have removed the silicone. Yes, occasionally I get pangs of envy when I see actresses or models with beautiful boobs and wish mine could be bigger, but I know I have to accept what I have because I'm never inserting silicone sacks into my chest again! At nearly 46 years old I feel more youthful by being smaller on top. My old trick of not gaining breast tissue when I gain a few pounds is still in practice, as I'm a little heavier than my pics from two years ago and there has been zero change in my boobs. The curse of a small boobed pear shape! Hey ho!

Very approachable and friendly surgeon. I don't have anything negative to say at all as my overall experience was great and my result was also fantastic. He was happy for me to make appointments post op (no extra charges) just for him to check my progress and also said I should pop in a year later. Due to relocating I didn't take this offer up, but it's a good sign he's interested to see his results both short and long term.

4 month's post explant

Well it has been 4 months since my explant so life is now back to normal.

I am surprised at how I have instantly adjusted from a psychological viewpoint. There was no mourning period or feeling of loss post explant at all. It was as though I had never had implants as I just feel myself now. I know I'm small chested but it actually doesn't bother me like it used to. I feel more youthful, petite and pretty.

My boobs aren't perfect - my left one (where some tissue was removed) is a little flat on the upper outside of my breast but it doesn't bother me. 43 year olds do not have perfect breasts!

I have really enjoyed my bra shopping! Nearly all of my bra's are 32c and there is the occasional 34b. I have some super padded ones for times when I'd like more curves but in general I'm happy with just regular ones. It's amazing what the right bra can do for you.

My scars are melting away and look great, so I've been fortunate there.

I said to myself pre explant that if I thought I was too small or mis-shapen I could look into fat transfer. Well, I'm not going down that route. I've learned my lesson. I'm loving my body for what it is and will never resort to any more plastic surgery to change it.

You look great. I will be so happy if I look like you after explant. I don't think my skin will bounce back. I am 60 and have had them 27 years, but I will hope.
Hey dolly, love your update! You look fantastic! They've definitely fluffed since your 4 week shots. The whole you looks great, fit and healthy. Congrats. So glad you're feeling happy with yourself. I was worried too...if I would feel low being very small but I've been pleasantly surprised. I feel much better natural. I'll be 2 months post-explant on Sunday. Look forward to you updates in the future too. Take care x
Wow you look beautiful! Can't believe how much you changed from 3 hours to 3 days!! I wish I would see changes that quickly! I'm day 11! I had my implants in for a short 9 weeks and I feel like its taking me longer to bounce back than you!
PS- how long did you wear a sports bra?
I think you look beautiful!

4 weeks post op

Well, it has now been 4 weeks. Admittedly I have been busy revising for a big exam and have had stress at work (just quit this week) which has kind of put my implant removal on the back burner. I don’t think I’ve had time to miss them!

So, the results... my boobs have been gradually shrinking since my op so I have to say I agree with my surgeon in discounting the fluffing theory. I'm back to being slighly smaller on the right which I was pre BA. I’m still slightly concave above the nipple, especially if I don’t stand up straight and my nipples are a bit deflated. They’re not too pretty when I bend forward, rather resembling Spaniel’s ears. One thing that I wasn’t aware of was the effect of surgery on nipples. Mine have been permanently hard and tender since the op and some research told me this was common due to nipples being sensitive to the trauma from surgery. I think they’re just starting to calm down a bit.

However, I’m still SO glad that the big implants are finally gone. I look so much slimmer and I feel petite and youthful. My husband has been surprised at how petite I look too. I’m happy to have small imperfect breasts now and don’t miss having fake Silicone ones one bit. Seeing as how different I look I can’t help but think EVERYONE is going to know exactly what I’ve been up to! Oh well, I won’t say anything and will just enjoy watching their puzzled expressions! :-)

You're looking great, Dolly, and its obvious that you are much happier without the fake boobs!! As you and others have commented, we realize how petite we are once we get the hard plastic off of our chests. Xoxo
They look beautiful and soo comfortable. Did the upper back pain ever resolve
