Hi there. I just had my second Fraxel Restore...

Hi there. I just had my second Fraxel Restore treatment 2 days ago. After the first treatment 6 weeks ago, I was given Neova Tissue Repair Copper Peptide cream which I gooped on for 3 days or so. The texture of my skin was weird/rough for maybe 3 weeks and I was getting massive isolated pimple breakouts. Started using my Retin A again at that point as I was tired of the breakouts. Skin texture was back to normal in about 4 weeks after the first treatment. Skin tone was more even and fine line less prominent. Went for my second Fraxel 2 days ago---so now I am red, sandpapery and itchy like I was last time. This time he put me on doxycycline antibiotic pills for 10 days to prevent any breakouts. My doctor is very skilled and came highly recommended. He used high settings for the amout of intensity and density of the laser, but not the highest settings as he warned that the highest settings could lead to potential burns and complications. So far I am happy with the results though. I did not have any permanent textural issues after my first treatment.

DAY 3 AFTER SECOND TREATMENT

Skin is becoming less pink and starting to turn bronze and really flake like "sand" due to the damaged areas coming off. A bit itchy and tight feeling but pain is gone. Washing my skin gently with antibacterial soap 2x daily and then gently patting it dry (no rubbing). Still using Neova Tissue Repair cream 3x daily and following with SPF 50 sunblock. Will start my doxycyline pills in a day or two to prevent breakouts. Taking multivitamins and high dose of Vitamin C. Progressing well :)

DAY 5 AFTER SECOND TREATMENT

Almost all peeled off now with minimal redness. Texture is not 100 percent yet, but it was not either until 3 weeks after my first treatment. Being on the oral doxycycline has been so helpful this time around---no breakouts!!! Very happy with results---fine lines are diminished even more and skin tone is very even :)
