From the moment you call Bancroft and Feldman Plastic Surgery in Sugar Land to schedule your complementary consultation for your breast augmentation you will feel at ease with his staff as they gather your information and answer questions you may have. His patient coordinator will email you a link and personal code to complete all medical history forms online so there is no need to fill out paperwork when arriving for the appointment.
When arriving at your consultation appointment make sure you have any questions or concerns you'd like to go over written down. Dr. Feldman and his Patient Coordinator, Jeannette, will likely answer any questions you might have thought of, they are very thorough, but having a list never hurts. Dr. Feldman spent over an hour talking with me about my medical and surgical history, he explained what types of breast implants they use, the pros and cons of saline versus silicone, size and style options, and the ways the procedure can be performed. He takes very specific measurements to help give you a perfect fit for your desired look and your body type/needs. You get to try on different sizes as to get a rough idea of what your new look will resemble. Dr. Feldman is not just extremely thorough, he makes you feel at ease by giving you his complete attention. He takes the time to answer your questions, no matter how big or small they may be. He doesn't cut you off or talk over you, or rush you in any way like many doctors tend to do. His explanations of the procedure and his recommendations for what would be your best options for optimal results are completely individualized, based on your body needs, measurements, and desired look. He doesn't sugar-coat or give you false expectations; he gives you very a realistic idea of what to expect your results to be, as every patients' body is different. He does not run a "cookie cutter" practice and insures you get individualized care.
After your consultation, Jeannette, Dr. Feldman's Patient Coordinator, will put together an individualized quote/surgical proposal for you and answer any questions you may have concerning financing/payment options. I didn't really discuss the financing because I knew I was paying cash, so I can't offer any insight on that aspect of the appointment. I can assure you that during the entire appointment there was never a moment I felt pressured to lock down a surgical date, or pressure to commit to anything. The office staff doesn't try to "up-sell" you on procedures or products you don't need and didn't inquire about. His entire staff was professional and welcoming my entire visit and it was obvious they all genuinely care about the experience each patient has, you are never treated like you're just file number.
My overall experience and interaction with Dr. Feldman and his staff is what made me decide to have my surgery. After my consultation I went home and discussed in detail with my husband about how the consultation went, and together we made the decision to call and schedule a surgery date. I have had many surgeries in my lifetime, all for medically necessary reasons. I had never had a cosmetic procedure or cosmetic surgery before in my life, so my husband and I did not take making this decision lightly. I had researched several local doctors in the Sugar Land area, and also those more "well-known" doctors in Houston before making the decision to move forward with a procedure by Dr. Feldman. All his reviews online are consistently positive, no matter what website review board you read. His artistic talent and knowledge in his field as a doctor in my opinion is unmatched. He is Board Certified and his personal attentiveness and professionalism make you feel like he cares...and he genuinely does! Everyone decides to have a cosmetic procedure for different personal reasons, I will explain why I made the personal decision to have a breast augmentation.
I never thought at age 31 (nearly a year ago), I would have to endure a total hysterectomy because of a tumor that had spread from one of my ovaries. Throughout my 20's I had 8 surgeries due to Endometriosis and I have been cut hip to hip 5 times leaving awful scars. I have surgical scars on my upper left abdomen and scars under my belly-button as well. Everyday I have had to look in the mirror and see the constant reminders, but over time I have accepted and even embraced my "battle scars." After having a total hysterectomy at 31 your body changes drastically; the lack of hormones took a dramatic toll on my body, especially my breasts. I'm too young to feel like I'm going through menopause, that I can't control, but I certainly don't want to look like I'm going through it! My breasts had always been small, but they were always cute and perky, I never had children. I started to notice within 3 months after having my hysterectomy the size and shape of my breasts changed so much that I was ashamed of them. I know that must sound silly, but I hated them. I would look in the mirror and see my frankenstein looking hysterectomy scars and then look up to my droopy lopsided breasts and I just didn't feel womanly anymore. I grew tired of wearing special bras and certain clothes to conceal them, to make them appear better than they were...when I took my clothes off I saw the truth and it started effecting the way I viewed myself as a woman. I was once this confident person and I had turned into a shamed, shy person who won't even undress in front of her husband. I knew I needed to do something for myself...I had endured so many surgeries because I had to medically have them. I made the decision to finally do something for myself, to have a surgery to make me feel better and get my old self back, to get my inner confidence back. Having the breast augmentation surgery has literally changed my life. I look in the mirror now and those scars that reach from hip to hip no longer grab my attention, I no longer dread looking in the mirror or undressing in front of my husband of nearly 10 years who has seen me and loved me in the worst of times. I not only got my confidence back but I feel like a woman again! In November my husband and I plan to renew our wedding vows on the beach as something special for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I'm looking forward to being able to pick out a dress and know I will look beautiful in it...to take his breath away like I did the first time 10 years ago! I'm excited to pick out bikinis and lingerie, knowing I will have complete confidence wearing them when I go on my 2nd honeymoon. Been shopping for bikinis with my "newbies" has been so much fun! I actually fill out the tops and don't have to wear bulky/padded swimsuits anymore! I'll be 33yrs old in less than 3 months and I've never felt this good about myself!
