I Am So Pleased, and Lower Bleph, Upper Lid Revision Too, Fat Transfers -St Petersburg, FL

I had gone to surgical consults. I didn't think I needed a facelift. I had a lower bleph by someone else 7 years ago and they left part of the fat pad under one eye and hollows...so I had dark circles. I had a bulbar fat pad encroaching on my inner upper eye lids. Since I am thin and now 51 and lost weight rapidly 3 1/2 years ago (not on purpose)...my cheekbone areas had disappeared. I looked drawn and tired. There were lots of wrinkles when I smiled, not when my face was static. Other docs told me, don't smile, Botox that whole area (not a good idea), fat transfers could be done while we are doing your face lift. One supposed specialist was going to charge 17K to 19K but I would have had an ethnic change with an Asian look to get rid of the eye wrinkles...no solution for the bony drawn cheeks or hollow eyes with panda look. Well I found out about Dr. Drehsen when I went for filler at the Venus Clinique Spa and I met a woman who had the fat transfers to the cheeks without a facelift and she looked great! I went for the procedure. He fixed the hollows, the cheeks, put some in the lips so I don't have to keep going back for Juvaderm and other fillers...the ugly residual fat pad and the fat over my inner eyes are gone. It is just 3 weeks and people say I look beautiful. Now, I was shocked right after. There is swelling. I needed rest and to let the bruising go down. I knew that the face has to be overplumped with fat because 30% might be resorbed back into the body. I planned on taking the time off from the outside world and got caught up on things at home. I love the staff. I love the price. They did not try to oversell anything. He did such a good job. I wish I knew how good this was gonna to turn out. I could use a neck plication (because of a bandy platysma for as long as I can remember). If I knew he was going to be this good. I would have done it then and there.

This is me at 2 weeks and 3 days with make-up. I would have taken 2 weeks off of work if I worked with many people. Since then the puffiness continues to go down. The Vet said 2 days ago. You look different somehow. What is it? I tell people. He said. It is great. Your face looks toned. You look better but can't tell why. I was shocked with the bigger lips at first...but everybody else loved them. They went down to a level I really like now.

I recommend that if people are thinking about losing weight...do it before that fat transfer. Find the weight you are going to stay on for the long haul and then do a fat transfer.

Diane any updates? Has your fat graft lasted or did much of it get reabsorbed?

Do you have a before picture? I had a hollowing lower blepharoplasty also. Did your after results last? Any pain after? Lumpiness?

Diane, Your results are really great. I am having fat transfer next month and am taking off work for the longest I can (12 days). I know there will still be swelling but will I be able to likely cover bruising at that time with heavy make up?

Congrats with your procedure!! Did u have a lot of bruising from the fat transfer or the brow lift? I am considering having the same procedure. Also do you have any before and after pics?

Yes I had bruising and swelling. It look scary at first. At 2 weeks it was much better. I found out he did some upper lid revision changing the angle of my eyelids. People like that. That may contribute to the bruising. I used ice. I did not get a brow lift. He said I didn't need one. He did not try to oversell me things. I may need one down the line.

Diane, You look beautiful! I looked at your doctor's before and after pics on brow lifts and all of his victims look surprised. Scary! He did a great job on you, though

I did my reply above. I will try and get you a photo off my phone at one week. Realize. 1. He did extra on my upper eyes/bleth (thanks doc) 2 He had to fix the botched lower bleth for 7 yesrs prior that another doc did. 3. I could have been pressing on the swelling under my eyes. I didn't know it. That helped alot.
