I wanted to have this procedure done because...

I wanted to have this procedure done because pregnancy had left me with empty, drooping breasts, diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia that caused me to have an "outie". I interviewed 4 different doctors and had 4 completely different opinions. 2 told me subglandular, 1 said submuscular with a lift, and the other said gummy bear with no lift. As far as my stomach, one said just lipo, one said to do abdominal exercises, one said mini TT and one said full TT. UGH it was so frustrating!
I chose to go with the Dr who was experienced with gummy bear implants because he said they would give me a minor lift and, because of their form stability, would be the best at preventing sagging. Also, he said they would look the most natural. I was only wanting to get my pre-pregnancy breasts back, which meant going from a B-C to a C-D. He did a "modified TT" where he corrected all of muscle separation but did not give me a new belly button. He floated it down about 3/4 of an inch and then re-attached it.
So far, 10 days post-op, I feel like I made the right decision. I still have pain and swelling but it is getting much better. My drains (all 4) were removed yesterday and I could FINALLY shower. My breasts are still very sore and hard in the upper pole where my muscle is tight. My husband, who was not really in favor of me getting implants loves them so far. I will post pics if anyone is interested!

I have a 10 year old and a 3 year old. It's been difficult with the little one...my husband has had to help out a lot. For this first week she went to her grandma's house everyday while I stayed home. Starting tomorrow she will be home with me until I go back to work in two weeks so hopefully I can keep up with her!
As far as the recovery- it's weird because my breasts hurt more than my stomach does now. I think they have gotten a little softer but they are still really hard and very sore first thing in the morning. They have done a good job of giving me a lift but I'm really anxious about what will happen over the next few months becuase I know they will change a lot. I don't think these "drop and fluff" like the traditional silicone implants. I'll keep you posted.

Who was your surgeon?

Dr. Caplin at Parkcrest Plastic Surgery

I am in St. Louis to. Who did you interview?

I went to Dr. Rottler, Dr. Copeland, Dr. Kofkoff (he's on here) and finally chose Dr. Caplin. I'm very happy with my decision to go with Dr. Caplin but I really liked Dr. Kofkoff a lot too. He will give a free consult if you mention realself. The other two were nice doctors also but they didn't see my TT vision - I really didn't have a lot of fat but wanted the diastasis repaired!-and both suggested subglandular implants. After weighing pros and cons, I thought sub-muscular would be a better choice.

I have Dr. Rottler, Dr, Nathan-Parkcrect, Dr. Kofkof, Dr, Koo, and possibly Dr. Prada(if he will wave the consult fee), for my consult list. I am going to start the meets next week. I also have a hernia and need diastais repair, and while I am doing all this, why not get boobs.

I thought exactly the same thing! I wasn't going to do the boobs but figured if I am going through all this, why not make over my whole body! I think those are good dr. choices. Dr. Prada and Koo's offices wouldn't waive the fee for me so I didn't see them. I had a different surgeon in the operating room who fixed the hernia repair, it brought the cost down a little bit b/c ins covered that part.

Hi!! I had mentor gummy bears in teardrop shape too.. Mine are 305cc. They really do not drop n fluff. The only thing that went down was the swelling. And after that, they stayed that way. I love them! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery and that you love your new bod

I just went to your profile but I can't find your pics, just the one labeled your wish body. Am I doing something wrong or did you take them down? I would love to see your results!
