So, here I am. 2-1/2 weeks before my procedure. I've been planning this for about 6 months. I've struggled so long with my weight, I can't wait for this! Everything on my body tones except my stomach. I've never had a flat stomach before, so I'm ready for this. I haven't posted any pics yet but I plan too before surgery.

I'm 2 weeks out! EEEKKKK!!!!! I'm so excited I may pee my pants! I paid the balance owed to my surgeon yesterday and I received all of my pre surgery instructions. This is really happening. Since I'm limited on what I can take medicine wise, of course I wake up to a stuffy nose today. Fortunately, I believe it's just allergies. I'm counting down the days. Can't wait!!!

Well, I'm 10 days out and counting down the days! I'm startng to have alot of different thoughts. Not thoughts about wanting to back out of the surgery. There are so many things going thru my mind right now. I'm a little bummed because I have a cousing coming in from out of town for Christmas and I'm not sure if I'm going to be up for hanging out. I guess I will just wait and see how I feel. I know I have to do pre op somtime next week. I was told the surgery center would call me to schedule. I'm not even sure what they do for pre op and I didn't think to ask. I guess I should check on that. Anywho...here's to the official countdown!!! YAY!!!

WOW!!! I'm less than a week away from my surgery. The surgery center called me today and I did my pre op interview over the phone. When I hung up, it actually hit me. This is really happening. I'm excited and a little nervous. The pre op nurse told me to wear some comfy clothes. She suggested pajama pants. That way I can just go home and get in bed. I'm so ready for this. I'll be posting before pics in the next day or so. YAY!!!

Well, tomorrow is the big day! I have a few before pics I'm about to post. I keep thinking about all of the stuff I need to do before tomorrow. I'm driving myself crazy. I picked up all my meds. I'm so ready for this! I've been waiting over 6 months for this and its here! YAY!!! I hope I'm able to post after pics soon! Wish me luck!

Well, I'm 6 weeks post op. Everything went great. I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. I've tried to post pics but for some reason it's not working. I will have to try again later.

I found Dr. Heistein through referrals. He came highly recommended and I now know why. He is a fantastic doctor. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He even called the evening of my surgery to make sure all was well. When I was having some issues on Christmas Eve, I called his office and I ended up having to page him. Within 10 minutes he called me back from his personal phone and was so helpful. He told me what I could do to take care of my issue. He and his staff were wonderful throughout the whole process. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone who is looking for an excellent plastic surgeon.

hi there... I am having my surgery on 21st as well. Are you doing drains less or with drains?

Actually, my doctor is a fan of the drains. I've heard there's less swelling with the drains. What about you?
