39yrs old...Wanting Breast Aug for Years... Southlake, TX

Hey booby world! Just coming back to show you guys how great I look and feel. I'm 6 months post op and enjoying every moment of it. Getting my breast augmentation was one of the best decisions of my life! Thank you Dr. Obaid & Staff!!!???

I would recommend Dr. Obaid to any woman seeking a breast augmentation. First off, I'd say, definitely have more than one consultation. Limit your consults to no more than three. Anymore than that, is just too many. Decide based on comfort level, and the amount of education they provide you with. DO NOT decide based on price, nor the amount of time the doc spends with you. Depending on your amount of questions, or your level of knowledge, your visit could be longer, or it could be 5 minutes. Don't let the amount of time the doc spends with you, determine. These are busy people, so in reality, they're assistants may do most of the work. With that said, I chose Dr. Obaid for several concrete reasons. One, he was nearby my home. I didnt want to travel far, for my visits. Two, he offered a free seminar months before I ever even booked with him and educated a room full of different women on what the process was all about. He answered everyone's questions, individually and honestly. After the seminar, he offered free individual consultations on the spot! Who does that!!?? Three, he was patient and kind. He spoke about his own family and shared the fact that his own wife had implants. He made you feel like a part of his own family. Four, his prices were competitive and not far out of the range of other doctors.

Dr. Obaid is upbeat, young, knowledgeable, experienced, funny and personable. Doesn't make you feel like you're just a number or a dollar sign. His team is gorgeous, and seemingly just as knowledgeable as he is. Open to help you anytime, day or night.

He took the time to study my body, and together we decided what size, shape, etc..would be best for me. He measured me and told me what I knew already...one side was bigger than the other and reassured me that we could achieve my desired look without a lift. I was soooo pleased to hear that, because after all, who wants the extra scarring?? I trusted him from day one. Even after reading some less than rave reviews about him, I still trusted our interaction. That just goes to show that you can't always base your individual decisions on the opinions of others. With that being said, I told my hubby that Dr. Obaid was the one!

Scheduling, payments, pre-op visits all went well. No pressure, no problems, no issues. They were flexible and willing to accommodate all my specific needs and wants. I chose the day I wanted and Melissa penciled me me in! Friday Feb 13th! Needless to say I was a little leary about Friday the 13th, but realized I was being superstitious and unnecessarily concerned....I had to laugh it off and keeping it moving.

Pre- op visit was brief and to the point. We reviewed all my needs once more, went over surgery day expectations. I received all my prescriptions as well. It was convenient to get those filled and by my bedside well before the surgery date.

Surgery day was full of nerves, but my Sister accompanied me to the clean, comfy surgery center. The staff even treated her like royalty as they allowed her to stay right by my side, till the moment of the actual surgery. And, I'll tell you, that meant so much to me. They didn't make her feel like an outsider. Having someone by your side during this process is major and the fact that they catered to my sister as well as they did to me, was remarkable to me.

Surgery was everything they said it would be. No surprises. After the anesthesia, I can't tell you much more, other than when I awoke, my nurse and sister were right there, telling me how well everything went. I was so out of it, I don't even remember the ride home.

I do recall arriving home and my husband was right there with open arms, waiting to put me in bed. I was in a fair amount of chest pains for about a week. I took a total of 2 weeks off work and needed each day to recover. The first week I stayed in bed, took pain meds faithfully every 4 hrs and my family catered to my every need. They were so wonderful, they waited on me hand and foot, with a smile. Having good, reliable after care is a must, because you have to take it easy, to allow yourself to heal properly. DO NOT RUSH LADIES!!!! Do not pick up your dog, do not do laundry, do not wash dishes!!!!! Do nothing, but rest and HEAL!

Week two was better. Each day I could feel the progression. Range of motion in my arms came back, chest pressure began to subside and slowly but surely , I began to start feeling like myself again. I can't emphasize enough, that the older you are, the tougher the recovery. So I would say, speaking for my 40+ ladies, take your recovery process slow and seriously.

Once the pain subsided and the bra came off, I was AMAZED with my results. Happy with what I saw, even within the first few days. The shape was excellent, they weren't "riding high" as I've heard so many woman say. Also, none of that "frankenboob" crap. Those were all the things that women write about that have you frightened to death, but Dr. Obaid is perfection, so with him, you don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. Plus, I guess it depends on what you're working with to begin with and whether you set realistic expectations for yourself. Even if you walk into the process not knowing what you want or need, I feel that Dr. Obaid will lead the way and help you achieve something beautiful!

I am BEYOND PLEASED with my experience with him, as well as my results. I feel like a new woman!!! More beautiful, more confident, more sexy than ever before.

I love the new me. I love the doctor and the staff that took their time with me and my body. This wasn't just about physical beauty for me.....it was a journey that involved myself, my family and the staff at North Texas Plastic Surgery. I had to trust my well-being to someone that was experienced. Someone who cared enough for me to take good care of my mind and body. Someone who cared enough, to allow me to return home to my loved ones, who absolutely need me, everyday. I prayed immensely throughout this process. I prayed that I was making the RIGHT decision, to go through with such a life changing event. I prayed for my doctor and his staff, to take good care of me....I prayed for good results....I prayed for a good recovery....I prayed that my family would be okay without my assistance for a few days....I prayed that God would allow me to awake from the anesthesia, in my right mind and in good spirits! And, as you all can see, God heard my prayers and answered each and every one of them!!!!!!

I won't preach too much longer guys, but this process is extensive, it's expensive, it's spiritual, its a sacrifice, its vanity....but, it involves so much more than just getting BIG BOOBS....I guess I just want people to understand it from all sides of the board.
