6 weeks post op :)

WORTH IT$6,000
I am finally at 6 weeks PO!! I feel great... Only discomfort is sleeping on sides at night-it seems to pull on my bb. I do have a few tender spots in the abdominal area that feel like bruises but only when pushed or massaged. I will ask about that tomorrow at my appt. swelling changes day to day, but overall my clothes are getting looser. I should be able to start light exercise next week so I can start working on these hips! I love my flat belly in my bathing suits, but now they all have saggy butts bc they were so stretched out from my "front butt" haha! Trying to get through this summer without buying new...we'll see.

My Dr. was Dr. Zucker in South Bend, IN. He was very thorough from my consult thru the surgery process. He answered all questions and you can tell he takes great pride in his work. Dr. Zucker called me at home the night of my surgery to check on me and answer any other questions I might have. HE called, not one of his nurses. The next morning at 11:00 one of my surgical nurses came to my house to check on me, remove my catheter, teach me how to work the drains, and anything else I needed. I had her cell in case of any issues over the weekend. Later she sent a text to check on me. The entire staff in Dr. Zucker's office is very kind and helpful. I've had a wonderful experience working with them so far. I would definitely recommend his practice to others.

Almost 5 weeks post-op :)

Feeling really good. Getting back to normal energy. Just battling the swelling. It's frustrating but I keep drinking water and try to lie down every day for a bit. I am doing more walking but not too much exercise to stress myself or cause more bloat.

I am also going to be getting a skin only TT in November and a interested in seeing how your results are in the coming months! I am hoping for a faster recover without it!
I have been relaxing at our lake cottage most of July...bronzing..;). Haven't taken many pics but hopefully by November I should be on the down side of swelling. Aside from my infection bout...this was a breeze, pain-wize. The rest is just patience and making yourself rest! Fluid retention is the enemy! The more time you spend reclined with feet up and wearing your compression garments, the better off you'll be! & drink a LOT of water! I have some other tips in my reviews. You have plenty of time to get prepared! ;)
Awesome! I'm really looking forward to seeing what my results will be! I'm scared of lipo but not so much the the TT cause I won't have the MR. I will continue ok follow your progress! Your results are already amazing! So sorry to read about your infection but so glad your better and healing up nice! Your BB is good too! When you say reclining chair! I have a recliner downstairs! Same thing, or no?
You look fantastic, even with a bit of swelling.
Thanks Kelli!

3 weeks 5 days post op!

Hello! I am almost 1month past surgery! Yeah! Considering I had the infection/cellulitis glitch, I am doing quite well. Like most, I am now just dealing with the swelling frustration. I am able to stand up straight most of the time, but by the end of the dayI can feel the pull a bit on my belly. I have some muscle pain from using my stomach muscles again, but nothing too bad. As long as I take a nap or rest at least an hour a day my body does pretty well...if not I feel like I've over-done it. Just this week I was able to twist enough to see over my shoulder and drive comfortably. I find the more I do, the more swelling I have at the end of the day, so I try to minimize my movement and clump my activities so I can rest after.

I have all sutures removes and require no dressings. Now I just put lotion on the scar and gently massage it daily. I do the same with my belly button on the inside making sure to keep it stretched on the inside.

I LOOOOVE how shirts fit me now! I bought my first horizontal striped shirt yesterday. Now I will slowly start working on my hips :).
