For my 50th birthday I "gave" myself a present of Smartlipo of upper and lower abdomen and hip rolls. At 2 weeks out I am VERY pleased with the aesthetic results but must admit that it was (and still is) more painful than I was lead to believe. I absolutely could not have returned to work before 1 week, and have muscled my way thru this second week. It is definately feeling better every day - but even at this point I am surprised at the amount of soreness that remains. I did not bruise at all, my skin is tightening nicely, only a couple of small lumps where the larger instrument was used. So, I would say that it was absolutely worth it - but you should be prepared for some pain.

All I want done is my flanks and my lower stomach, I do not have much to take out, I just want my stomach to be flatter... I got quoted at 8,000 to get both areas done!! That is insane to me, i do not have 8,000 dollars worth of fat in my body!!! I will never pay that amount of money, but I really want to get it done, what do I do?

{edited - doctor information has been added above the review} By the way, at 3 months, I'm very happy with the results and almost feel normal again. I continue to loose girth...pants that didn't fit just 2 weeks ago now fit fine.

I am looking to have the same area done, and am getting quotes at more than double what you paid. It would be cheaper to drive to your doctor! (12,500!!)Would you recommend your doctor? Are you still satisfied?

Wow! My friend also had it done...upper and lower abs and outer thighs..same price. I am still satisfied and so is she.(Still sore :))

I am happy you are seeing results and sorry about the pain. I had the exact same areas done one week from today. I experience no pain what so ever! I am a little anxious and I have not seen any results as of yet. The funny thing is that I weigh 10pds less and I can't tell. Beats me...How long was it before you seen any results?

My procedure was on Wed am and my follow-up was late on that same Friday, by that time I already saw a significant difference. I have lost a total of 8 lbs so far. (he said he took out 3-1/2 liters, that sounds like alot.)In the morning I am very flat, but after working all day I am quite swollen and am ready to put the elastic garment back on.
