“Anxiety is Kicking in - Shreveport, LA”
Spent: $5,800 in Shreveport, LA
Lost over 80lbs eight years ago, couldn't afford tt back then. Gained 30 lbs back three years ago due to thyroid tumors; had thyroid removed and weight is stable but hard to loose weight even with personal trainer. I am so nervous that it won't be what i expect or come out like i expect. I'm a mom of a 12 yr old and don't want something to happen to me all for vanity. I've been waiting for this for a long time but scared.

Okay tomorrow is my prop no turning back five days to go. I'm excited and so scared I'm having heart palps and anxiety. I'm starting to doubt my decision I'm still over weight by 25 lbs. But with no thyroid and even working out with. Personal trainer I've lost only two in a month and it sucks. Thanks for listening to me trip out.

Post op for 19 days, feeling pretty good, have noticed a few things: i have a hard knot around the area on my hip where one of the drains came out, feels like i will be swollen the rest of my life, and just when you think you are doing good you are not.
The worst thing is i have a little anxiety of blood clots developing. I know i shouldn't worry but i can't help it.

Nine days post op of tummy tuck and had drains and stitches removed today. I would recommend Dr.Paul Michael Davis to anyone in the Shreveport area. I wasn't sure at first but the fact that he does his procedure in the hospital and keeps you over night sold me on this surgeon and a I went to five of them in the area before making the decision. I saw my results today and was amazed but he told me i still had swollen but I'm thinking if this looks like this good swollen can't wait to see finished product. It is not an easy procedure or healing process of course i was not the idea candidate either but i worked out with a trainer for a month trying to prepare myself mentally and physically. I will post pictures in a couple of days.

Congrats on your 80 pound weight loss! That's a huge accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. Like Soccermom said, keep sifting through the reviews and connecting with other RealSelf users. They're a great source of support.
Thanks so much for posting here to RealSelf. I'm looking forward to reading more of your story.
WOW very impressive! Great job on the weight loss. I also have a whacked out Thyroid and that really does squash the weight loss...very frustrating.
I have decided that being over 45, on thyroid meds, and taking estrogen pretty much stinks. You have to work three times as hard to accomplish anything.
You are going to have wonderful results! Just keep a visual in your head of the flat tummy.
Keep me up to date and I will be anxiously watching for your post op pictures.
Nervous is normal but you are going to do just fine!
Your tummy looks so awesome! How are you feeling?
Thanks for all your kinds words.
Glad to hear you are doing so well. Easy does it though. I know what you mean about the hubby and the cooking...LOL Not so good in this house either. He made an excellent nurse and can clean a mean toilet but not much good in the kitchen :)
I love to hear about my list helping people! Makes me smile just knowing I was able to share my own experience and help others.
Keep your feet up, skip the house cleaning and do take the pain meds if you need them. I found that I needed one from time to time the first month post op. Mostly because of the tight swelling which hurt like a bugger.
Keep posting and let me know how you are doing:)
Thanks for everything and will keep you posted.
Oh yes the wonderful "Swell Hell".
