I've been lurking here for some time. I had a TT,...

I've been lurking here for some time. I had a TT, scar revision and BA (38A/AA before 38 D after) done in 2004 by Dr. Lisa Lynn Sowder. She did a wonderful job and honestly the process was not much different than having a c-section or hysterectomy ( I've had both). It's been more than 10 years and know that they don't last forever. I was also DX'd with an autoimmune disorder a few years ago, and in the back of my mind I just wonder if the implants have something to do with it. I met with Dr. Sowder last August and she is removing the implants with no lift. I was scheduled for January, but I had a terrible gut issue caused by antibiotics( given to me for placing a plate and 9 pins in my hand as I broke it) and have had to be on a protocol prior to surgery per my GI Doctor. So, funny thing is....I'm more concerned about removing my implants than I was about getting the BA. Not because of shape, size..but how I'll react to antibiotics and medications...go figure! But I am truly ready to have my implants removed. I'll post pre and post op from before and others as I get them.

T-4 days and counting

I finally found my TT/scar revision/BA pre and post pictures. After my Hysterectomy I gained about 50 pounds in about 4 months, of course I was a bit over weight prior to that. I had lost a total of 75 pounds in my pre-picture and honestly the scale no longer moved, no mater what I did. I stopped smoking and kept the weight off for more than 2 years, when I went to see Dr. Sowder for my procedure. She took off more than 8 pounds of skin!!! Also, she said she had never used so many sutures internally to revise the gallbladder scar. The other picture, I just took today. I weigh about 5 pounds less than when the pre/post BA/TT pictures were taken. It's funny (not in a ha, ha way)....I still see myself at over 200 pounds!

T-3 days ....

This is becoming more real with every passing minute. My husband though supportive, has also made a couple of comments: why do "we" need to have them removed again? which of course is a bit hurtful...As in I am more than these implants. Few people even know I have implants as I always wore padded bras before, so visually clothed you couldn't really tell I had a BA. Also, since I have been a 38band since I was 14, even placing implants I never had cleavage and still had to wear bras that were padded in order to place them together. Also, because I am tall, shirts never fit well before as a V-neck comes down to about 3 inches above where the breasts start and that has just not changed either. Hoping for a quick recovery with minimal issues.
