I'm an active, 35 year old mom with a teenager. I gained almost 80 lbs during my pregnancy and after diet and exercise, there were areas that just wouldn't bounce back. I've been researching a Tummy Tuck since 2010 and have had consultations with several Seattle area plastic surgeons and just couldn't take the plunge. Like many of you I've gone through this site and looked at picture upon picture until I ran across Dr Grenley's photos as well as his honest answers to the Q&A on this site. His work is amazing and I immediately made an appt for a consult (free I might add). The "top doc" I had seen previously charged me $90 for a consultation, said I wasn't a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck because I didn't have enough "fat" and then gave me a quote for a breast revision. Insane...Anyway, after that experience and coming to meet Dr G who said I was a great candidate and explained why; adding that I would have a short vertical scar in order to keep the primary incision low, etc...and spent time explaining everything to me. I called within a few days to schedule my surgery. I feel 100% confident in his skills and abilities. I am currently 8 days po. I had my drains removed today (which didn't hurt a bit- I had myself all worked up after reading other reviews) and I really feel very good! Turned the corner big time on day 6 after I learned that eating 30 min prior to taking any pain meds was really key for me. I also rented a lift chair, which was well worth the cost! Will update more in a few days when I can take a pic before my shower and will add before photos! Woohoo!

Pics!

These are long overdue and almost a year old! I've had these on my phone for too long. I'll have my hubby take a new one today. The scarring is almost non-existent at this point. Wanted to get these uploaded and not sure how to make them rotate. Sorry!

1 year (ish) post op!

Here are some pics that I took today. The surgery didn't erase all of my stretch marks (and trust me there were a lot!), but it's such an improvement. I'm very happy with the results. My vertical scar continues to fade and to be honest, it doesn't really bother me. I'm not a very good "healer" per say, and have always had issues with scarring, so I'm overall fine with the scar.

Dr. Grenley is honest and forthcoming when addressing you surgery expectations. There were no surprises with my outcome and I am very, very pleased so far! His staff are all extremely professional and never at any time did I feel unsure of my decision. I would recommend him to anyone!
