I chose to have a lift and augmentation because Dr. Brown suggested that in order to achieve symmetry and the overall appearance I was seeking, I needed both the lift and augmentation. I am grateful I chose to do both.
Prior to surgery, I anticipated that I would not be able to do regular activities for several weeks and that it would be extremely painful; however, I was off all pain meds within a week and back to driving and work the following week. It is not even three weeks and my incisions are healing quickly and each day I find myself being able to add more regular activities. I still have some bruising and swelling but have found that wearing my surgical bra at all times truly helps with the swelling and soreness. (This was suggested by Dr. Brown).
Pros- lifted, symmetrical and well rounded breasts, increased confidence and improved posture.
Cons- location of incisions can be uncomfortable at times.

Yesterday marked 4 weeks from my surgery and I am THRILLED with my results. Dr. Brown did an amazing job. My breasts have healed well and continue to be symmetrical. The surgical glue is now fully removed and the incisions look AMAZING! Unless you look very closely, you cannot see the incisions. Dr. Brown recommended the Bioderm silicone gel sheets (which I will wear for the next 12 weeks) to help with scarring. I can already see a difference in the incision texture and color and highly recommend them as well.

Thank you for sharing your story on RealSelf! Glad to hear you are pleased with your results and your PS. Is your pre op cup size much different than your post op cup size? How many cc's did you get? Glad your recovery is going well. Congratulations!
That's great! Sounds like your PS corrected the asymmetry through the lift. I have heard of women getting different sized implants to offset asymmetry but your situation sounds perfect. Glad you're happy and confident!
