“Satisfactory results”

Botox: Worth it

Cost: $600
Pain: Mild
Botox satisfaction: Good3 Star Rating: Good

Botox worked very well for the deep frown lines between my eyes. It did not work well for the crows feet or laugh lines by my eyes.

One word of warning..and a major one.

On one trip to the plastic surgeon I had Botox injected for my frown lines between my eyes. After the Botox I had the indentation filled with Restylane. I had a horrific reaction!! There was an immediate burning, almost scalding sensation running from between my eyes all the way up my forehead.

Several days later a large blister developed about the size of a quarter between my eyes. I returned to my doctor..who was horrified. He had never seen such a reaction. In calling the representatives of both Botox and Restylane, as can be expected, neither would claim
it was their problem. The blister turned into a thick, hard, blood red colored scab that remained for weeks. I had a small bald spot at my forehead hairline that took about a year to grow back. Two years later I still have a fine white patch of scar at the injection site.

Many people don't have this reaction, but my plastic surgeon now refuses to combine Botox with any other wrinkle filler prcedure.
