Only a few days after the procedure but the results are pretty amazing! Before the procedure: I researched around for doctors who were of course well qualified but also had a reasonable price. I knew I had to go out of the area for that-- I live in the bay area and a lot of the estimates I got were way too high. I saw this doctor at the office for the initial consult and I was very confident in her from the start. The prices were very good too.** It would have only been around 5,500 for the minimum amount of lipo areas! I added on upper back. Make sure you contact the Santa Ana office for that type of price. The staff explained that newport has higher overhead charges for the doctor. I had a lot of trouble with random events in my life including a car accident but the office staff and the doctor was very understanding and accommodating when it came to rescheduling appointments. Since I live in northern california, we were able to schedule the pre op on a Wednesday and then the surgery that Friday. Procedure day: The surgery center that the procedures are preformed at are very nice and the nurses there are so nice. I went in at 6:30AM, signed paperwork, and they took me to change into the hospital clothes and put my iv in. It took a little while for me to go in, but when I went in, everyone was so kind. I was very nervous and scared ! My operation started a little after 8:30AM. I had about 1 liter put into each cheek. She had lipo-ed my upper & lower back, my abs, and my flanks. I forgot how long the procedure took in total but around 12:45pm ish I was awake and the nurses attended to me until I was ready to get up and leave. Upon awaking, nurses were right there making sure I was okay. I had some trouble taking deep breaths because I felt like there was tightness around my tummy and I was super uncomfortable. I was so out of it and once they gave me pain meds I started to feel more normal. My butt felt like it was huge and tight. The pain was not much of an issue it's just that it made me uncomfortable to be sore in so many areas all at once. I slept for the rest of the day alright, I had so much trouble getting in and out of bed and going to the restroom just because of soreness all over. My husband was very very helpful with everything I definitely recommend having someone with you 24-7 for at least the first 3 days. Oh and I kept getting up every 3 hours including the night the first night. I always felt like I needed to shift to a more comfortable position. Every day since then I started to get significantly better, whether it be energy or pain-wise. On day 2 post-op (not including actual op-date) I walked around a mall type thing for a little while. I bring my boppy pillow everywhere for comfortable seating. It feels like theres mounds in my cheeks but they are getting softer each day. The results (so far, at 3+days post op): They are so incredibly amazing. She gave me a great shape in my abs and my booty is big! I know it will probably go down a bit but I'm so happy. Even though I didn't go in for the abs , the abs was something that made me go 'wow' when she took my garment off. Advice: Have someone helping you out, it will be good for you both physically and psychologically. My husband was always there and it helped especially during the first day and a half when it was especially tough. Also, she doesn't use drains so, it would be best to purchase gauze -- it will get everywhere. It can get super messy and annoying for the first 2 days. I used always infinity pads to improvise and they worked wonderfully to absorb the liquid. Conclusion- It has been very worth it to have a new shape you couldn't get by working out and the healing has been pretty manageable. There has been a LOT LESS pain than I expected. P.S. I will try to get some before pictures up as soon as possible. The issue I had with my booty before was lack of volume on the sides and top. I now have increased volume in both areas! :)
