I recently had fraxel laser tx.

I am amazed at how many people have had terrible side effects of this, particularly olive complected people,I would have thought twice of knowing what I know now and I had it done on my face!!! I have streaks of hypo-pigmented areas, and it sounds like a hopeless situation. Im hoping a p.s.consult might offer some solutions to at least minimize the results of this horrible experience..

After recently having rejuvenation laser treatment my skin is horribly hypo-pigmented,will my own melanin come back??It sounds hopeless from what Ive read.I'm hopeful that due to my nationality(hyspanic)that my melanin will come back..Woulfd a co2 laser treatment on a lower setting even things out??

I also have a horrible reaction after my Pixel procedure. At the very first few day when all the first layer peeled, it looked so very good and had written good reviews about it. But a month or less after the Pixel my skin was horrible than ever before I had the treatment. Now I realized the laser was not for my skin type. The machine was made for caucasian skin type but not for olive or dark skin like me as I have more pigment than the other type. So now I have hyperpigmentation and looked burnt in different areas of my face. I had been very unhappy ever since.

Someone who has a lot of sense told me, "If all these lasers that burn the skin are suppose to truly work, then we would all be wrinkle free from each time we are sunburnt!". And of course, we are not. Every dermatologist knows sun damage is the main cause for aging skin. I wish I had the same common sense before I did Fraxel. I regret it everyday. I regret to have lost my youth prematurely, to have the complexion of an old person when I would not have to.

I am horrified what it has done to my skin......it is getting worse everyday. My sweat glands do not work and I have to apply moisturizer every half hour. My skin is dead. These procedures should be banned and I am wondering how there cannot be a class action lawsuit in the works since there are so many people on here who are damaged for life. The face is too delicate for lasers.....period! Give it a few more years and I'll bet our voices will be heard. This is the kind of thing the media loves to get involved in. F@*K YOU AFFIRM YOU HAVE RUINED MY LIFE.

I am so sorry this has happened to you and KNOW that your anger is justified. I hope soon a class action lawsuit will be made public so others will KNOW the results are not always what people believe. The few painful and sad comments that this board has is so very often counter crossed with someone who claims to have had wonderful result and procedure is great. While I am HAPPY some people are not burned and scarred I am amazed at the lack of impathy that they lack for others who have been maimed. As a human one has nothing else to do but believe these are planted posts to boost business. If I went and had GREAT results... yes I would be glad ..... but I would NEVER discredit someones pain and anguish from less than perfect results. The kind and courteous thing to do would be to offer advice and wish them well and move on. Offer positive support and hope that they can get better. Just keep your faith that the truth will come out just like it has for Toyota....... hormone treatment causing herat attacks/ heart disease.. ect. Time will let it happen...... concentrate on your health and seek legal counsel...... Times are tough Lawyers need money too! Good Luck! Cherry

I would NOT let a laser within 10 feet of my face....... what are the risks? What happens if it gets worse? If it burns and causes permanent damage Are you willing to live with the results? Possibly never feeling good... going out in public.... immune deficency... sores/ ulcers/ burned corneas/ light sensitivity/ fat loss in face/ muscle damage/ death. This is what CAN and does happen to some. RESEARCH/READ and seek legal and proffessional help if you feel you paid for results you did not get. Cherry

I agree, having laser treatment is a huge gamble. It is not worth taking the chance. There are far safer less invasive options. Laser damage can ruin a person's life forever!!!

I just had fraxel on my nose for pore size and of course I knew nothing of these horrific side effects. I wish I came across this site sooner has anyone a year or two out had good results??? I hope!! And should I be worried?
