I haven't posted in awhile and don't have too much to report. I feel that I am back to normal with my level of activity and exercise, though I have been avoiding strength exercises that target the abs. The scars are healing well and I'm happy with my results!

Scars & exercising
I'm almost on week 7 post-op and I feel good. I went jogging for the first time last week and walked/jogged 3 miles with no consequences. I have been exercising moderately for the last week and am wondering if I'm ready to step it up to doing Boot camp workouts again. I have been avoiding core exercises, and am nervous that boot camp might be too strenuous. I don't want to have to explain to the instructor that I had a tummy tuck, I'm sure he'd frown upon that! I will have to motivate myself to exercise regularly every day, as I have my wedding next month and want to look my best. It's just so hard to get up early in the mornings without the motivation of having to be at boot camp. Eh, I'll see what I can do for myself to make sure I'm getting back in shape.
As for the scar, it's healing well. I'm using Paula's Choice scar reducing serum, and ScarAway silicone strips. Here are some pictures.

Lookin good love, so happy for you :)
looking so good!
Thanks hun, you look fab. Ordered silicone and scar gel from amazon so all prepared I think. Has you size in clothes changed at all? happy healing. x
No change in my clothing size! I actually feel like my butt and hips have gotten bigger, but I think it's because I've lost muscle tone from being such a slug.

I haven't writer in a few weeks. Life is pretty much back to normal. No more pain, I've been standing straight since about week 3, I feel good. I've been doing light cardio exercise with brisk walking and the elliptical machine. I might start running in a few days when I reach week 6. I'm going to wait a few more months to do any heavy ab work. I still get some swelling with too much activity or salt, but no seromas. I'm still wearing silicon tape to help with the scar healing. I'm happy with my results!

Hi you look so amazing well done. Glad you are feeling better. Mine TT booked for 11july so nervous but so excited too. Did you have a vertical scar as well? Doesnt look like it but my surgeon said can I leave it to him to decide once in surgery. He will do what ever best finish. Would prefer not. I am the same size as you before your TT. Did you sleep alright in your own bed early on after coming home? I will be in hospital 2 nights he tells me. If all ok then home. What stool stuff do you think? Xx
Thank you! :) I didn't have a vertical incision, but I do have like a 1.5" vertical scar right in the middle that wasn't there until a stitch was pulled out, so I'm hoping that's not going to leave a permanent mark. I slept in my bed right away, with lots of pillows. One or 2 under my knees, and 2-3 for my head. I started sleeping on my side again after about 3 weeks. I used milk of magnesia for stools, but I only took it a few times. Just drink lots of water and eat fiber-rich food :)
Your results are Great!! We are right around the same recovery times I'm 6 weeks out and just starting doing the marble trick b/c my belly button is still very small and closed. I have been using the silicone sheets for about 3-4 weeks now and I am amazed at how well my scar is looking already.
Happy Healing!!
I just noticed your note, sorry for the late response! I never got to use the marble, how is that going? I agree, the silicone sheets seem to really help the healing! My ps thought those products are like snake oil, and I don't know for sure if it makes a big difference, but better safe than sorry.
Thanks. Do keep me posted on how you are doing. Happy healing. Do you buy the silicone type from normal chemists or from your consultant. Don't know we're we would sell this in the UK. And are you using oils now? I am a UK size 10 at the moment and not sure if you go down a size or stay the same but flatter!! X
Sorry for the late reply, I just noticed your note! I bought the silicone tape on Amazon.com. It's called ScarAway. I'm also using a serum for scars by Paula's Choice (also bought online). I'll post pics of the scars soon.
