I am 31 and starting noticing the "11" lines in between my eyebrows about a year ago. When I looked at pictures of my younger self, the only real difference I could see from then to now, for the most part, were those 2 lines. I went to Dr. Pousti's office, had a consultation in a private room, first with the Dr.'s assistant, and then with Dr. He explained what Botox does to the muscles of the face, helping them to relax so there is not constant contraction of the muscles, and because of this, it would soften those lines. Because of a scheduling conflict, I had my 20 month old nephew with me. The staff were AMAZING with him and one nurse even came in to the room where the Botox was being done in order to distract the baby and play with him. It was perfect! I was given an ice pack about 5 minutes before the doctor came in. I laid on the table and was told it would be like a mosquito bite. The assistant was also there to assist. I gave a big frown and in went the tiny needles. It was extremely tolerable and happened so fast, I said "We're done already?" It probably took less than a minute total. The area around the procedure was slightly tender for a couple days, but not a big deal at all. Today is 2 weeks post and my lines have significantly reduced. The biggest difference is that before Botox, my eyebrows would automatically furrow, causing those lines. I didn't even realize I was doing it. Now, that doesn't happen at all. I still have movement in that area, as I should have, otherwise I would look like one of the Real Housewives with a frozen face. I still have facial expression! Overall, fantastic.
