Breast Implant Revision, Out Of Town Patient - San Diego, CA

I got my first breast agumentation when I was 21 years old. I went to a plastic surgeon in the city that I was from in Canada. I was reffered to this plastic surgern from a family friend and I had high hopes that he would be able to meet my goals. My breasts were assymetrical and this was something that I wanted to fix. I am very petit I am 100 pounds and 5'5. I started off with a 30 A cup and I went to a small 30 D cup I recieved 400 cc gel implants over the muscle in both breasts. I noticed right when I first looked at them that my nipples weren't even. One breasts was noticably larger than the other. I figured since they were still very swollen that it would get alot better with time. Well within a year I went back to the plastic surgeron and told him that my nipples weren't even, they were different sizes and now I have rippling all around my breasts. He said that redoing the breast implants could just cause complications and sent me away. Throughout the next year I noticed that my breast implants were starting to look worse and worse. My nipples slowly started going more outward and I couldn't even bend over without noticable ripples all along the top of my breasts. They looked just awful and it had only been a year! I decided I was going to get them fixed and this time I was going to choose a plastic surgeon that was going to be able to give me the best results and I was willing to go anywhere to get them fixed. After doing research on many different plastic surgeons in Canada and the US I came Dr. Pousti. I was very impressed by the website, the before and after photos and his experience with revisionary breast surgery. I also wanted my breasts to look fuller than what they were and he has tons of experience with larger breasts. I began emailing back and forth with the office. I sent photos of myself so Dr. Pousti would be able to have a better idea of what my breasts looked liked. Once he recieved my photos we spoke on the phone and he told me he would be able to improve my breast implants. After reading soooo many great reviews from other patients that also revieved revisonary surgery I knew that I was making the right decision. I booked my surgery date and my plane tickets and a few months later my boyfriend and I went to San Diego for my surgery. We met with Dr. Pousti for a pre op on a monday and my surgery was booked for the next day. Dr. Pousti was very friendly and had a great bedside manner. Dr. Pousti informed me that my breast implants have bottomed out a bit, my breast pockets needed to be fixed and I also needed capsulorrphaphy. My main concerns were to fix the rippling, the asymetry, the nipples to be centered and more fuller breasts. Due to my petiti frame and no body fat to work with Dr. Pousti continued to inform me that the most important thing going into the surgery was going to be my safetly. He would try and meet all of my goals in terms of going larger but that I wouldn't be able to go too large for my small body. Dr. Pousti was very kind and he addressed every question I had. The rest of the staff was very friendly and knowledable as well . Dr. Pousti also told me that my surgery was going to be a 9 on 10 for difficulty. My previous breast implants were over the muscle and in order to get rid of my rippling it would be best to put the new saline breast implants under the muscle. The surgery date was the next morning and everything went great. I have support bandages under my breasts helping hold the interal sutures in place and these banages will stay there for three months so I can heal perfectly. After 4 days of staying in San Diego and recovering we flew back home. It's been two weeks since my surgery and so far I am very happy. It's hard to see what my breasts look like yet because they are all bandaged up with the recovery bra! But, they are now 550cc and looking very full and round. My nipples are even and so far the results are amazing and I am so excited to see what they will look like in a few more weeks. I would recommend Dr. Pousti to anybody that is looking for a surgeon that will meet your individual needs. He is so knowledable and is able to communicate in a way that a patient can understand what he is actually talking about. He continued to tell me if there is anything I don't understand about what he is saying just ask him and he will help me understand. He cared about my safety and giving me the best results he could. Everyday since I have left San Diego Dr. Pousti's office has called me to check on me and asnwer any of my questions. Everyday!!! Which is amazing and shows that they really take care of their out of town patients. Dr. Pousti does NOT have the cookie cutter approach he works with your body and does the best he can with what you have. I would recommend Dr. Pousti and recommend anyone from out of town considering going to San Diego for surgery to do it!! I's worth the money that I spent and two weeks post surgery I am very satisfied with my results! I look forward to seeing the final result!!! Thank you Dr. Pousti and his staff. :)
