I had been debating having a tummy tuck for years now. Each time I went in to see a plastic surgeon the cost, and time to heal was discouraging. Not to mention friends and family that would talk me outof it saying I didnt need it, I just needed to work out, do more ab work, do more weights, run, walk.

I took everyone elses advice and didnt consider my own feelings. I went to visit my PS 3 weeks prior to my surgery. I didnt tell anyone aside from my husband and my mom because they are the ones that would be taking care of me.

Yesterday I had 1 drain removed and got to see my cute belly button for the 1st time...love it!!! Doc says I am doing great. I just have to monitor my output on drain and hopefully remove it on Monday. I am having a bit of mixed emotions...every morning I wake up full of energy and ready to do everything I can while I feel that way..but I pay for it at night. My back is killing me by the end of the day. I am taking Ibuprofen and nothing else.

Today its been 2 weeks since my TT. I finally had the 2nd drain removed, I feel much better. I also made sure with my doc that I was using the binder the right way. He suggested I get a new one because the one I have is too big :) ...that made me very happy. Feeling ok at this point. Last night was the first nite I took nothing to sleep. I had very little sleep, I felt like it was day 2 after surgery. My garment felt so tight. I am a little worried since I'm going back to work on Monday so I am hoping I'll feel much better.

It has been a great 4 months. I am very happy to have made the decision. All the $$ I spent is so worth it. So was the pain. I finally went shopping for smaller clothes and wore a 2 piece swimsuit for the 1st time in 20 years :).....Tears of Joy!!!

I am very happy with my results. I shopped for a new wardrobe 4 sizes smaller than before :) Having a TT has totally changed my lifestyle for the better. I've got my family eating healthy and exercising. I'm glad I chose to do this for me!

I had my tummy tuck on Thursday March 31st at 730am. I was amazed at how great I felt after. I am 5 days post op and I have to say the most painful part are the drains and my hips from Lipo. So if anyone out there has any advice as to what I can do to ease the pain I would greatly appreciate it.

How does your tummy look? We had our tuck on the same day. I think my PS did a great job with my belly button, but I'm some of this tummy is swelling as it's not super tight skin. The muscles are tight, but I feel like he could have pulled more skin. Time will tell. The roll of skin I had hanging over my c-section scars is gone, thank goodness and I no longer look 4 months pregnant, but it doesn't looked carved out on the sides of the belly button, which was the look I was going for, hmmmm. I had lipo of the muffin top and that looks great, but still the most sore part of it all. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs, and work with a trainer 3x a week for the ladt 2 years up until this surgery. Want to go back at 4 weeks, but my PS says no an work for six months. That seems a long time. Anyway, just wanted to compare notes- hope you're doing great:)

I meant no ab work for 6 months. Lucky you to have a drain out! Mine are producing about 5-10cc's in an entire day and he still won't take them out til Monday-
