Height: 5' 10"
Weight today: 176 lbs
Body Fat: 33

I'm 47 and weigh almost same as I did while 9 months pregnant with both children. I have brain damage and left hand paralysis from traumatic brain injury that triggered a cerebral stroke following cerebral aneurysm. I am not a candidate for anything invasive. I decided to toss the Lexipro pills and rely on a healthy diet, exercise and other herbal/homeopathic solutions.

Your looking great! Just curious why you tossed the Lexipro, I take medication....do you think it has caused weight gain?

Day 0 - I had the procedure done today. 1 large (abdomen) and 2 small area(obliques). No painbefore durng or after. Feels weird because I don't like my fat touched, let alone siphoned. No problem though. Did all three areas back to back and found rest of my body feeling every joint pain from staying in same positions. If you move, the machine can be squeezed off from muscle contracting. Drove myself; walked dogs 3 miles; rubbed arnica montana gel thoroughly despite minor discomfort to touch.

Day 2: pain in treated areas similar to menstrual cramps and over working abominals in the gym. Nothing ridiculous. Applying Arnica Montana spray and gel with massge 4 times per day and dissolving Arnica Montana (homeopathic for bruising). I look swollen similar to a women PMSing, but nothing that anyone notices. I can see bruise forming under skin, which I expected due to blood thinners. Oh, I ran circuits today and did light ab routine. No picture because I look the same tothe camera.

Day 4 - pain pretty much gone. I am aggressively applying Arnica Montana and massaging aggressively. I have absolutely no bruising so far. I give credit to the homeopathic Arnica Montana because I am easy to bruise and stay bruised for weeks from normal bumping cleaning house, driving...I'm definitely swollen in abdominal and side areas where treated. It's not the type of swelling you normally feel. It feels more like the treated areas are in the way. For example, I'm on laptop and my elbow is resting on tummy role - a phenomenon I've never experienced or noticed. Girth is definitely descended, but not enough for a photo and I'm wearing my normal pants and shirts. That fat that was pulled into machine can be grabbed and held without holding shape when let go. In other words, I can pull it like the machine did. Would be nice to just cut it off. Oh, that would make it a mini tummy tuck, which wouldn't address the obliques (love handles). When it starts itching, I massage Arnica Montana again. It's not bad or annoying. I think worst is over.

Day 6: Absolutely no pain and never developed bruises. Arnica Montana aggressive massaging prevented. I do have some numbness. It just makes me more aware of the fat roll.Snapped front view photo. No noticeable difference to me.

Some added info I copied from a comment I placed on another person's review to help. I think that swelling is what causes us the live birth type contraction pain. I drank about 120 oz water per day with lemons squeezed in it. I continued my cardio and strength workouts in 20-45 min spurts to get my metabolism going. I'm a Black woman. I went from 23% bodyfat to 33% from 2009 to 2013 after suffering a brain injury in Iraq which led to discovery of brain aneurysm. At some point after brain surgery, I had a brain stroke. Needless to say, my whole life changed. I went from running 5-6 miles per day; competing in 5Ks to marathons; bench press competitions; Army Physical training, etc... to being bed bound, then home bound. I wasn't a candidate for anything intrusive due to mini strokes I still suffer (and my left hand is paralyzed and in a painful contracture). I'm making this Zeltiq work because I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I knew I wouldn't spend all this money to just wait and see what happens. I consider it an investment in my health. I'm praying I can continue progressing and coolsculpt can be one tool of many to get me back in shape. I truly feel my motivation and energy picking up and combat related PTSD and depression symptoms decreasing. I just want a new, acceptable normal, so I can improve my quality of life. I have a Master's of Science in Physiology/Physical Eucation and know physiology enough to know to be dangerous. It sucks to know the remedy, but not have the energy and body parts to execute. Decrease the swelling and we can decrease the pain. Also, I drink dandelion root tea a couple times a day in addition to all that water. This herbal tea is a natural diuretic and largely used by natural builders and fitness competitors days leading into competition day to rid body of of water retention, so they look veinous and cut under those stage lights. I hope I helped. God Bless.

Day 8: I feel little pricklies in area of panty band, but noting painful. The treated areas are numb with little to no bruising. I has to be water and Arnica Montana intake. I snapped a front photo. I can see the ridge detail in my upper ab area. I can't attribute this to Coolsculpt because that area wasn't treated. I like what I'm seeing in my treated areas...very subtle, but improving.
I'm posting a new picture now. CoolSculpt is working for me. I'm happy so far.

Hi. I think it's too soon because i still see and feel fullness from the gigantic fat pull. I promised myself to only weigh self bi-weekly and to Measure only at the end of 90 days. I do they shoo as not to address the numbers. Since having a stroke, I'm focusing on overall health and wellness and that takes time and commitment. If I watch numbers like a hawk and they don't match my mind, I'll lose focus. and become disheartened and have something to stress about. I look and feel great. I promise to post numbers at this time.

Day 15 - Feeling great. No pain in any areas. All 3 treated areas are numb and graspable. I'm hoping everything numb will shrink at some point. I am making progress in healthy eating. I see abdominals improving everywhere, except treated areas. If treated areas diminish, my abs will be very nice. Jury still out.

Weight at Day 15: 166 (lost 10 pounds via healthy eating; strength training and aerobic exercise). CoolSculpt didn't remove the pounds, but paying all that money motivated me to get moving. I'm pleased so far.

Day 22: weight 162 (lost 14 pounds following the Fast Metabolism Book and strength training at home and aerobic activity on elliptical and walking my dogs fast. No pain at all. I have numbness in all 3 treated areas. No bruising or swelling. I woke up yesterday and loved what I saw in the mirror. CoolSculpting was worth every penny. I see immense improvements in areas exercise wouldn't normally budge. I would do it again for double the amount. No scars; no cuts; no tight undies; no down time; and no medicines. It's a no brainer for me.

I've been wearing a skinny belt underneath my shirt throughout the entire day to remind myself to use muscles and hold in stomach. It builds the ab muscles. It's an old school trick my mother taught me in the 7th grade. It works. I take it off to sleep and exercise.

I have lost over 2" off my waistline measurement. That's 10% in less than month. Again, I'm happy with my decision. Money well spent!

Lost 3 1/2 inches of waist so far Size 10 to Size 8 goal accomplished!

I have lost 3 1/2 inches off waist. See pictures. I have accomplished my goal. It's so easy, I'm still eating right. I am walking and working elliptical almost daily. The neigbors think I'm crazy because my dogs and I walk up and down the only hill with my pocket speaker blasting over and over again daily. I'm in my size 8 jeans and all my clothes are loose. I just don't feel stuffed in my clothing and I don't feel my pooch filling my lap when driving. People are complimenting me. If you have the money and are willing to alter your lifestyle a tiny bit, get the procedure. If you plan to be a couch potato, you probably will be wasting your money. There is no cosmetic surgery or procedure involving sculpting that will give us long term results with no personal lifestyle alterations. Not a ONE. Even with liposuction, you will gradually gain the fat back distributed in different areas.
I had my done 2 months ago and I'm seeing great results! You look absolutely amazing with the after photos!

CoolSculpt gets 5 stars***** from me! It worked!

Bottom Line: The procedure worked for me. I am at week 12 and the fat is gone; the inches are gone...I keep waking up and expecting to raise my shirt and find a pooch. Not so, It's gone. I can't help but pause in front of the mirror everytime I walk past. I love my new flat, cut look. I started out being really strict on my exercise and nutrition and slacked off the last couple of weeks. When this happens, we tend to creep back up in weight and size. Not so, Everytime I look, it's still gone. I'll post again at 16- 20 weeks. I'm truly excited about this! I accomplished all goals. Every single one. It feels weird sitting in car and not having that mushy pooch squeezing through seat belt. Bye Bye fat, you're not welcome back!
I'm just curious if you saw a big difference between waiting two and three months? I don't want to treat them more than i need to, but still have a slight bulge at my flanks that could use improvement at this point. I'm just curious how long you would wait to treat areas a second time?
Reply
I did see a significant difference between two & three months. I saw even more results between three and four months. I would wait a couple of more months if I were you...also, make sure you are eating healthy with exercise!

Hey there...Thank you for the reply, I'm kind of on the fence on whether I need the second treatment at this point. Hopefully, I will see more change in this next month! I'm seeing results that exercise has never produce for my genetic lumps and bumps. I'm doing my best to stick with Haylie Pomroys nutrition program although I've had a few breaks here and there. Also exercising 3 days a week.

She's a technician - not a physician. Linda was very informative and ensured my expectations were realistic. Bear with me on photos (hand injury). Once I feel comfortable with look, I'll allow someone else to snap.
