Day 2 Post Op

Definitely a little more swollen/puffy today. Getting a shiner under my left eye but I'm trying to stay on top of it with icing, arnica tablets, arnica gel, and lots of pineapple.
My nose is also feeling a bit clogged but I can still breathe through it.

Other than the swelling, I am feeling pretty good! No real pain but I'm taking tylenol just in case. Sleeping upright is difficult. I bought a wedge to sleep on but woke up to find that i had slid down it and my head was not very elevated... we'll see how tonight goes!

I'm not liking the idea of being cooped up in my house for four more days with this cast on but I know it will be worth it in the long run!

I can also tell that my nose is going to be massive when the cast comes off. I'm curious what it's going to look like in a few months. Hopefully its not super noticeably large when I go back to work in one week.

1st Day Post Op

Feeling surprisingly really well my first day after surgery. My doctor said my operation was easier than she anticipated so I think that is why I can breathe through my nose and just have bruising on my cheeks. Off my pain meds now and just on Tylenol for some pressure in my head. I'll probably take my pain meds before bed because its hard to sleep upright/on my back!

I had an open rhinoplasty to narrow my bridge, get rid of a small hump, and refine my tip. I do not have any packing or splints in which is probably why I can breathe normally. Thank goodness!

Sat in my backyard for a little bit with my dog. Not brave enough to go out in public with my cast on so I think I'm going to get a little stir crazy for the next 5 days!

I've been wanting to change my nose for as long as...

I've been wanting to change my nose for as long as I can remember. I've finally set a date for surgery- June 27- and I am so excited/terrified... which I think is pretty normal. I've been so inspired by what I've read and seen on this site that I want to share my journey as well. I'll upload pictures as we get closer to the surgery date! xo
