I am 37 years old happily married mom of two, ages 18 & 8 (both C-sections). I am 5’ 120 lbs. A tummy tuck was not something I ever really considered until I lost over 50 pounds and realized that I have worked too hard to have this pooch as a reminder of my former chubby self.

I do cardio 5 days a week and hit the weights 3-4 times a week. I feel I have definitely done my part over the past two years to live a healthy lifestyle.

My TT/Lipo is scheduled for February 17th. It’s been scheduled since November so I am getting really excited and anxious as the time comes closer. I am now in the mode of trying to get my house, work and mind in order for the surgery and time off after.

I am vegan so I am really concerned with making sure I receive adequate nutrients before and after. I guess food planning & prep are going to be crucial. Open to ideas!

Went to lab yesterday - 4 week preop and all they did was a pregnancy test. No chance of me getting pregnant, but surprised they'd do that test so far out!

Two days until my surgery and the butterflies have now kicked in high gear. I'd have occasional nerves but now the angst won't stop. I am a busy mom anyways but I purposely packed a ton of stuff in the last two weeks to keep my mind occupied. Well it worked and I've had no time to worry. So it's now hitting me like a ton of bricks. I really hope I can relax and heal quickly.

Good for you CA!! Well deserved. The food planning for after is important but unfortunately I don't have good ideas for you because I'm not familiar with the vegan lifestyle. For example, are you allowed to eat fish or have eggs? I am 3 days PO and I can tell you that my appetite is very small. I have been drinking milk-free protein drinks ("muscle milk," purchased at Costco) at meds time - they are tasty, easily digested, and have lots of protein which I've read is important in our recovery.

Feb. 17th will be here before you know it!

Thanks for checking in. Hope you are doing well. That's really helpful to here about appetite. Vegan in a nutshell is no meat, dairy, eggs, nothing that is or comes from an animal. I did find a plant based protein powder but I am guessing the Muscle Milk probably tastes better ; ) but unfortunately there is dairy in it.
I am hoping to have some homemade low sodium soups made to sip from. Otherwise just a lot of fruits and vegis, nuts & grains.

CA- good luck today!!! I will be praying for you!! I can't help with the vegan, but check out Dale's Raw Foods, he makes vegan protein bars and powders that are pretty good, I like the bars, the powder-- well that wasnt for me, but thought I would share that with you.
