Hello all! I found this website ever so helpful...

Hello all! I found this website ever so helpful thanks to you lovely people that's shared your pictures and stories.
My coordinator Carly from Transform recommended Dr Khan, as he had done her nose, but as I had seen a few bad reviews I chose Dr Lahoud after researching him. My consultation with Pascal Lahoud was very quick and lasted a mere few mins, in those minutes he told me he would be doing OPEN SURGERY, took pictures and told me that I had thick skin on the nose which I found a little worrying after reading about this - as I wanted a defined nose. With thick skin as described it like putting a rug over a chair when with thinner skin, a silk sheet over a chair, so you don't see the definition etc.

Anyway nearer to my op I fet I needed to see Lahoud again which I did just for him to reailterate his proceder etc again. For some reason I was still concerned :/ as I had a bulbous tip wide-ish nose and long!

Day of OP - I came in quite early, the driver had taken me we had to be there for 7.30 but we arrived for 8am, the driver did say it's ok to be a little late as they still have things to go over their end etc. As soon as I walked in to the reception I had a pleasant welcome which made me feel quite content. I waited for around 15 mins before a nurse came to take me to my room. Got comfortable put my things away etc. Inthis time the nurses were in and out, my assigned nurse Anna gave me my gown and paper panties, slippers etc. In this time they also were going through some questions and other paperwork for them complete on their end. That was fine. So no awkward silence between my room and straight to theatre. Was good communicating and asking questions. The aneasestist also came in and did the same. I was waiting over 1.5 hours to be called into theatre which was a little nerving and was making me think a little which I was trying to avoid however I remained calm and strong. Oh and come dine with me on TV helped a little lol.

Finally called in, taken to a room where they asked me to confirm who I was. I was asked to take my second gown and slippers off and then went into another room.
Lights and equipment machines everywhere, more nurses and Drs I was just looking at everything around being the observant person I am. The same aneasestist was there, the needle didn't hurt, I said thank you and the nurse said I am the only one who has thanked them after an injection lol. I was talking and said I feel dizzy. I felt a slight rush up my arm then that was it. Knocked out for he count.

Next thing I remember was waking up in a recovery room where there was nurse, I remember waving at her she just smiled and began talking to me I was shivering as soon as I was awake and she tucked me in like a baby from my feet upwards I was so awake and didn't feel high at all, I was conscious of my surroundings two Drs passed by quickly and said everything went well I didn't let them go and I was asking more questions and they tried to explain best as they could bless, don't know what I was thinking I asked Lahoud 'what did you do' lol
I was just concerned how everything went and wanted to know how and what was done.
I was on some oxygen and was still chatting away to the nurse yes only a few mins of waking up lol.
I remember just having to breathe through my nose as I mentally prepared myself for that moment I was pretty cool and together. Woke up feeling no pain. Actually my throat! Daym that was so dry! That some getting used. Got wheeled back to my room got tucked in my nurse as I was still shivering drank lots of water. Relaxed. From this time it just got better for me, learning how to breathe, moving I was pretty much active and was doing well. Just a takes all getting used to but overall was fine no pain, again expect the throat!

I had to break my food up and place a little in my mouth at a time as I could open my mouth as wide - no problem eating took my time and relaxed.

Bruising and swelling I was fine not bad at all the nurses were very happy with that. Even the next day I was fine. Brushing just a little on the one side. I was using arnica tabs prior to the op - 7days before and I was given ice packs so that helped lots.

Day two - Currently waiting for the bf to come and get me and take me home. Had the Dr come in and explain what to do when I get home, gave me pain relief tablets and made me aware due to a new health rule they don't provide anti biotics anymore and they feel it was a clean surgery and doesn't infect internal ie bladder stomach etc so said they don't give these or anymore. The explanation she provided from questions I asked sounded fine be me.
The nurse also gave me some packs, tape, nose stuff and the liquid to clean and soak eye patches in etc. This is good to take home with. Currently watching Emmerdale, will start getting ready to go shortly. Overall feeling well :)

Day 4 -

At home - picked up a throat infection from the breathing tube from the op. Not doing so great with that, may need to go a&e as I believe I need antibiotics to clear up my throat.
Nose is coming along fine. No pain, still using ice packs for swelling. Been sleeping fine with my neck pillow :)

Before and After Pic!

The picture on the left is my before ew.
And on the right is two days after having the stitched taken out. There is still quite a lot of swelling that needs to come down. Just can't wait to see what it will look like in 6 weeks! :)
