Not Worth It
Spent: $500 in Largo, FL

I had radiesse injected under both eyes for lightening dark circles. The nurse practictioner that administard the filler went up to high above the orbital bone causing the red and white swelling, she corrected her- self on the right eye by not going up as high I had no problem except for a little red swelling but that went away after a few days.

It has been a year and I still have the same white line of swelling that has not budged.

The spa owner was nice enough to give my money back but I feel I might need surgery to fix the problem. I have since moved state which makes it hard to find an attorney, but I will keep trying.

Goabglow, now that it has been several months, do you still have a white line? I had Radiesse 2 months ago and I am a mess. White glowing line under one eye and a white ball under the other

She should not have used radiesse there as the skin is so thin. A lawyer huh? Wow..you should have been advised that complications can happen when any thing is done to the body anyways... your doctor can take an 18 guage needle and break the skin over the white strip, then push out the white filler. He/she should only have to make a few holes and then push the stuff out, he does not need to break the skin over the whole thing. OR he can inject saline into the strip to break it up, the squeez in to break up the product it will dissolve. Good luck.

Is there something that can reverse the effects of Botox? I had a tiny bit in my upper lip and i hate it. My mouth twists when I talk. I juat want it gone from there.

There is a medication called phyostigmine that can be used as an minimze the results. It's side effects make it rarely practical. There is a substance called Botox X that is expermintal but I doubt Allergan would authorize it for something like this. These unwantd effects usually only last 2 weeks, but time will be the thing that corrects this. Good Luck.

I am not surprised you had problems. You really shouldnt go to a spa to have it done nor should a nurse practitioner ever do it. Do your research do find a reputable, board certified plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist.

I don't agree with AnnaU, if you want surgery then yes go to a plastic surgeon, the idea that you need a plastic surgeon to give you an injection is ridiculous. There is a skill level required for all medical procedures but the fact is complications happen no matter who does them. You should have been informed of the risks and accept them or not. A person can die from penicillin for strep throat, should we only take penicillin from ear, nose and throat doctors. They are also surgeons and the last person you would want to take care of you if you have an allergic reaction to penicillin. A nurse practitioner can give injections of cosmetic treatments, they would have to be trained to give injections under the eye just like a surgeon would have to. The exact same class. This is not surgery, it is an injection. Chill out Anna!

I appriciate your comment, thanks. I certanly did my research and found what I thought was the perfect place to have this done. It was highly recomended by a friend who not to mention is a doctor. I will figure this out and hopfully soon will have a good ending to this nightmare.

i have been getting restylne, juvaderm, botox and radiesse for the past 2 years. I am 54 years old and it has not only worked, but has increased the collagen production in my face......i would only go to an experienced physician and I am lucky enough enough to have one 1,500
