Hello tummy tuck ladies!

I'm three days post op after a full tummy tuck and Sacrocopolpexy repair (repair of female organs after a hysterectomy)basically I had my vagina lifted and attached to my back bone, repair of a cytocele and rectocele, and reconstruction of my vagina from the outside. Apparently I will look like I havn't had my 5 children. I'll be a brand new woman!! (my hubby is pretty excited to have his young wife back!)

I'm 36 years old and my girlie parts were about 75! I was able to get the sacrocolpexy portion covered by insurance, but the tummy tuck part was mine! Although, the anesthesia and hospital stay overlapped and were covered!

I have had a terrible time with pain control, but it was primarily due to the other surgery. My insision has been virtually pain free with the pain pump and the binder. The other surgery on the othe hand has needed everything from percocet to morphine.

I'm now 7 days post op and today is the first day I've woken up feeling human. Tomorrow Im going to my PS to check the drains and hopefully get them out. They have been draining only about 10 ml/ day. It will be such a relief to get them out :)
My family has been wonderful. My mom left on Saturday and my hubby took right over where she left. He won't let me lift a finger. He's been wonderful. The older kids went back to school today. We got a nanny to tend the two youngest kids during the day. So far it has been such a treat to be able to rest in a quiet house. Good luck other tummy tuckers! Hang in there!

8 days postop. I thought after reading a few other reviews I would tell you the thing that has SAVED me. Get ready, it was recommended by my dr. I took his advice and am do glad I did. He recommend I rent a walker (at a local medical supply place) You know, those things old people shuffle around in. I mentioned my intention at the hospital and they said my insurance would cover one because of my other surgery. So I did that instead. Anyway, it has saved my back! I went to my 1 week post op yesterday and wondered what I would have done without it. It scared my kids at first. They thought I went to the hospital fine and came home crippled! But after I explained everything they were fine. I can scoot around my house no problem with zero back pain, without trying too hard to stand up straight. Totally recommend it!

Both drains out baby! I feel like a new girl not to be dragging those grody things around. As my hubby was driving me home from the dr today I realized that my tummy no longer flops over the seat belt. I was so happy that I made this decision. A few days ago I was pretty sure I had made the dumbest decision of my life. Hopefully everyday will just get better and better. I was also given the ok to wear spanx on occasion. Saturday is my hubby's Christmas party so it was a relief to know I wouldnt have to find something to cover this bulky binder. My spanx and I were good friends before the surgery, so I excited to see what I look like with them on now :) I will be taking my walker to the party because it is at the ski resort and I'm not sure footed yet to walk in snow. (I'm considering decorating it with some tinsel and a wreath for fun) It's kinda a bummer, but everybody knows I had the other surgery (this one was a secret!) so I think it won't give anything away.

Where did you find your nanny? How old are your younger kids? What types of things is the nanny doing to keep the house quiet? I am a stay at home mom and having a full tt in Feb. I have a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old..both boys, both wild!! LOL! My husband is taking 8 days off and I will have some help after that but wondering about the nanny thing..any info you can share would be great! Thanks and happy healing! :)
