“Post lifestyle lift complications.”

Lifestyle lift: NOT worth it

Cost: $5,000
Pain: Uncomfortable
Lifestyle lift satisfaction: Poor1 Star Rating: Poor
I do not recommend my Lifestyle lift provider: Name not provided
Why: He seems too busy and preoccupied to give proper reassurance.

I had this procedure January 29th in Seattle. I did it because I liked the idea of a less-intrusive surgery, using local anesthetic, and because all the literature given to me, plus the consultation, made it all sound as if I would heal quickly and with few (if any) complications.

I now feel that this was very misleading, as it is almost 3 months, and I have had nothing but problems and anxiety. I have lumps and ridges all along both cheeks, which showed up about a month ago, and a large lump under my chin which is hideous and has been there from the start.

My doctor, at the 1-month consultation, looked at me for about 3 seconds and said, "It'll go away." That was it! I live 4 hours away from the clinic, and it is difficult for me to get there. I am very depressed and nervous. My face is not only a mess, but it still can feel very numb, and at times, as if I were being bitten by fire ants. Is this normal this long after surgery?

I was never told anything except that I would be healed much sooner; and I was not told what the lumps were, whether to massage them, or anything else. he did say to come in for a steroid injection, but that is in another month! Is that too late? Will these things go away? How long can I realistically expect to heal?

I feel as if I've been abandoned by the clinic and that I am a nuisance to the doctor, who just sort of ignores my worries. Help! Am I going to look and feel this way forever.

I feel bad for her. All that you just said explains part of my LSL problems.

you all should be thankful ,,,because the LSL centers do not follow state rules for disposing of blood and waste,,since you get local anesthesia no state control you all may need to get checked for Hepatitis C ,HIV or other communicable diseases i know i worked there

chrise, as far as dr kent not teaching anymore, remember the dr that posted & was quite mean on LSL behalf? He is the Medical Director of LSL. Name is Dr Koch& I believe he is in San Fran. Don't remember, but it's probably on their website. I believe he is now training the LSL ' newbies'...

Hey Kid If you are a former employee & are advising us to be checked by something as deadly as Hep C& HIV, then you should report them to the authorities! After all we've been through, we don't need to hear this too. If you are going to help, then do it.Do you know how many needles we've had injected in us??

I don't know about reusing needles, and HIV or other diseases spread by dirty needles, but I do know that a lot of people seem to end up with infections at the 'surgical site'.............. which means the surgical conditions are not very sanitary. TO ANY DOCTORS ON THIS SITE - is there a way we can determine if 'new' needles are being used on us BEFORE we are injected? Anything we can watch out for that might indicated a 'used' needle?

for my procedure - they just had some pre-filled syringes on a tray. So I did not get to see if they unwrapped new syringes to fill with the lidocaine. I will say that I recall that they did re-use some of my same needles on me when I needed more lidocaine (or whatever numbing agent they were using) injections

how do we see it???? Ummmmmmm BECAUSE : 1 - WE ARE WIDE AWAKE AND 2 - WE ARE NOT SEDATED AND 3 - THE NEEDLES ARE GOING IN OUR FACE Makes it kind of a memorable experience!

A question...several people have mentioned "sutures poking out of the skin." Do these eventually work their way out (Like Shrapnel) or do they have to be removed? I'm pretty sure that this is what I am feeling (and seeing) 6 months after my LSL (don't even get me started on THAT subject again.) It feels like 3 BB's are under my chin and one behind my ear.
