“Post lifestyle lift complications.”
Lifestyle lift: NOT worth it
Pain: Uncomfortable
I had this procedure January 29th in Seattle. I did it because I liked the idea of a less-intrusive surgery, using local anesthetic, and because all the literature given to me, plus the consultation, made it all sound as if I would heal quickly and with few (if any) complications.
I now feel that this was very misleading, as it is almost 3 months, and I have had nothing but problems and anxiety. I have lumps and ridges all along both cheeks, which showed up about a month ago, and a large lump under my chin which is hideous and has been there from the start.
My doctor, at the 1-month consultation, looked at me for about 3 seconds and said, "It'll go away." That was it! I live 4 hours away from the clinic, and it is difficult for me to get there. I am very depressed and nervous. My face is not only a mess, but it still can feel very numb, and at times, as if I were being bitten by fire ants. Is this normal this long after surgery?
I was never told anything except that I would be healed much sooner; and I was not told what the lumps were, whether to massage them, or anything else. he did say to come in for a steroid injection, but that is in another month! Is that too late? Will these things go away? How long can I realistically expect to heal?
I feel as if I've been abandoned by the clinic and that I am a nuisance to the doctor, who just sort of ignores my worries. Help! Am I going to look and feel this way forever.

I had the shots that one time; The 2 in the chin did nothing at all, and the chin still feels as if there is something "in there!" ( they probably left their staple gun in there! Hahaha!) The ridges and lumps along the side are very slowly getting less noticeable, but I am still very sore. A friend of mine had a "real" facelift a few years ago, and she had no problems at all...she is horrified by what she has read on this site, as she was planning to do a LSL lift as "a little touch-up." Not anymore! I hope all of you will feel better soon, and I so appreciate your posts. I care about you all and may we all get through this!

Birdy, I don't know, I would recommend that you see a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon that specializes in Facial Reconstruction. My doctor could not figure out what Kum did to me and why he did the surgery in that manner. I have been told that one hour is not enough time to do this type of surgery and trying to do a quota per day could result in less that adequate care. I can tell you for certain that I looked better before Kum touched me and that he caused me more wrinkles that I had in the first place. You can look at my pictures and tell especially around my mouth and eyes, extra wrinkles and krinkle paper type wrinkles under the eyes. I am not qualified to tell you if it can be fixed but I bet it could by the right kind of doctor. Good Luck! Chrystal.

Birdlegs, I saw your pics. I'm not a Dr. , but I've seen other ppl that have the same ripple look in their faces. I was told, it was the way they pulled and tightened your skin. I was also told a revisional surgery could correct that problem. Look on this site for a Board certified facial& recronstructive plastic surgeon. Many plastic surgeons here will see you at no charge or a small fee for a consult. It is definately worth it! You can go to the top of the page & click on 'Find a doctor' or even 'ask a dr'. They are very good about answering you & through realself, you can ask for an appt.by clicking on the doctor in your area. You can also ask questions to all the plastic surgeons & get an idea of what's going on with you. Best Of Luck!!!!!!!!!

Birdie, I did report this "Dr". I am glad that you talked a young woman out of a LSL. I intend on being around for awhile or until LSL is no more. I was thinking about something that was said to me over the phone recently about a patient having to wait on their surgeon at LSL because another patient's blood pressure was out of control. I then ask if they took their blood pressure or temperature and was told no -- same experience on my end, they did not take my blood pressure or temp. You may think, ah, not a big deal, but many people can die from high blood pressure and I am surprised that something like this has not already happen in these mini-operating rooms (especially with the anxiety of having all those shots & the pain). I wonder what they would do if that did happen, call 911? Oh and by the way just to inform everyone, Dr. David Kent, the "Inventor" of the LSL is not board certified to teach this procedure any longer. Look it up for yourself: http://www.dleg.state.mi.us/free/publicinfo.asp?rb_name=ON&rb_facility=&l_person_id=7706&l_profession_id=51&l_license_id=484354&Last_Name=KENT&First_Name=DAVID&License_number=&Facility_Name=&DBA_Name=&profession=51&offset=0 Osteopathic - Educational Limited: Null & Void I think that means he no longer can teach -- so who does the teaching??? Maybe this why the results are all over the place with no consistency at all. Then if you look at his Medical License, he is not listed at all as having any formal training in Facial Plastic Surgery. He is a Osteopathic Physician specializing in Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery. Kind of hard to argue with the license. I am telling everyone, Lifestyle Lift is a well oiled Marketing Machine. Keep the faith, Chrystal.

C, In my area , LSL """just""" did a 30 min. TV infomercial on the LSL. On that program, it is CLEARLY stated that Dr K is a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON"... I have called the ABPS & they can't find him listed as a P.S. I have done this many times w/ the same results.. Last week after seeing this 30 min. infomercial, I called again. They still can't find him listed as a P.S.. Another LSL stunt???

Chrise, Can you send that link by itself? My LSL Dr has left the practice or fired, who knows! The new 'everyday' Dr there was supposedly trained by LSL's Medical Director, Koch........... in Calif, I think.

Massage the bumps. Give your face the necessary time to heal. If after 6-8 months, things have not smoothed out to your liking, then go see your surgeon again for a remedy.
