I am a 30 year old mother of two. I have never had a flat tummy, but after giving birth to my daughter I have gotten worse. I gained 50lbs while I was pregnant with her and it did a number on my stomach. 4 years later, I conceived my son and only gained 30 with him. However, the damage had already been done. I've wanted a tummy tuck for it seems like forever, but I could never time it correctly because I am a teacher. This was actually a last minute decision and I am nervous about my recovery time, but I hear it is so worth it. My surgery is scheduled for Monday, August 6th. I have to return to work on August 13 for preplanning which consists of a lot of meetings. The kids will return on the 20th which is my bday!! I am just hoping that I will be in a good place by then. I enjoyed reading most of your stories and I welcome any comments or feedback. Thanks for reading and following me in this great journey.

So my hubby just informed me that he is flying his aunt in to help us for a week. That's great news. Guess he was getting a little overwhelmed about taking care of me and our 2 small children. Secretly I think that he just wants her good home cooked meals lol. Finished most of the cleaning and organizing. Still excited and hopeful.

I feel like tomorrow is the first day if school lol. I can't fall asleep to save my life. Please think good thoughts and say a special prayer for me. Truth is I'm getting a little nervous and thinking how it wld b terrible for my kids if something happened to me while doing an elective surgery. Gotta shake off the bad thoughts.

Ok!! So I had the survey yesterday and everything went well. My pain level is mainly a 3 and I can walk around a bit hunched by myself. The thing that is killing me is all this darn itching. I forgot that anesthesia makes me itch all over when it's wearing off. Besides that, I'm good. I will try to post pics later.

Hello Ree, wow u are 3 days head of me, mine is on Thursday in the afternoon. I think a week is pretty little to take off, i will say atleast 2 weeks, but i hope everything works out for you. I am done shopping has well has cleaning. Just cleaned the entire house today, I also have little kids as well, ages 6, 3, and 2. Good luck and lets know how it went.

Thanks for the support. Luckily, the week will consist if mostly meetings and nothing strenuous.

Hello Ree. Wow returning to work on the 13th may be a challenge. That is when I had the most back pain. I'm 6 weeks PO now and I still find it hard to sometimes stand up straight. This is a major surgery and you will have drains for at least a week. For the first couple of weeks you will have to rest. Good Luck to you and let me know if I can be of any help to you.
