SPITTING STITCHES 19 DAYS POST OP

Monday, 7/17 I went to change my silicone tape and notice I had (what I thought) a white film/puss at the "T" of my lollipop incision. So I got a qtip and rubbed it and could feel it was hard. I knew right away it was a stitch. I had my thyroid removed 12 years ago and I remembered the same thing happening then.It just feels like an extremely hard hangnail. I was a little bummed but
knew I needed to call my doctor because they would have to cut them. UGH! So I did so and went the next morning and the nurse said it was very common, laid me back and snipped a few of them. It DID NOT tickle :(
She said I needed to keep band aids (small rounds ones that she gave me) and Neosporin on the two places and they will heal just fine. Sooooooo we shall see. :/
The picture is really up close so it looks "worse" but I think it will be fine :)

17 Days

I am a hair stylist so work has been more tasking than most but I have been trying to be mindful and careful. I have surprisingly been pretty ok. The first 2 days I was pretty tired at night. At my 2 week post op the Dr said I looked great, had me buy the Modern 6.0 bra from Dillard's for the best support while healing, told me to take vitamin b-6 and evening primrose for nerve pain and told me to begin massaging :) I go back in 3 months! ;) I am also using a silicone suture tape they gave me to flatten the scars.
