50 Yr Old Woman, Arms, Flanks Upper & Lower Abs, Mons

I'm a 50 yr old woman in menapause with hypothyroidism and in 6 months gained almost 20 lbs in my arms, stomach, hips and thighs. Inthe 1 1/2 years since, I could not loose the weight or "muffin" around my middle.

I started looking into Vasar Lipo about 8 monhts prior to surgery. I was scared and skeptical about the providers I was able to research on line. I finally found a wonderful provider in Voorhees, NJ. One free consult later, I was sold. This porvider (a real Doctor) made me feel very comfortable with the procedure and what to expect the day of and the days after. The biggest difference was that this doctor stressed the use of foam around the areas to help mold the body. They were also very helpful with pre-planning of garments and gave you numerous pieces of leterature to rad on what to expect. I was "handled" by one individual who walked me through every step and called me every day to see how I was doing.

My procedure was done in two seperate sessions - Arms and flanks one day with the abdomen done the second day. I did not have any pain the first two days - on the third day the lidacane wore off and I had some pain. My doc prescirbed Vicadon and it worked wonders. I was able to walk around without pain but getting up and down from teh bed or sofa was still an issue.

I was a little swolen the first week after surgery but was able to speak with my doc several times that week and he talked me through it. I had my surgery on Wednesday and Thrusday and went back to work on the next Tuesday. I was completely fine just a little sore and swolen at the end of the day. My draining stopped on Monday.

It is now 2 1/2 months post op. I had the hard and lumpy's and the itching and wore my compression garment for 8 weeks. I just felt so much better with it on. I wore the foam for 6 of the eight weeks.

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the results - I'm not "perfect" yet but I believe I will be in another month or two. I still have a couple of lumpy areas but no big deal. I am now back in a two piece bathing suit and everyone tells me I look great. The surgery was well worth it and I plan on going back in the winter to have my hips and thighs done - right after I pay off the the $6,500 (LOL).

Great review?

He was sincere, caring and you felt like a person the entire time - not just a piece of meat going through a meat market which is how you feel at some of these "cosmetic" facilities. He was also upfront and honest about expectations. I was not rushed at either my consult, pre-op or post op visits. He spent as much time with me as I needed and then I spent time with his assitant with scheduling and any questions that arose. She was there for me every day. You normally can't say that about any Doc's office.
