I am having a tt due to a vertical scar from a three c-sections and two bowel perforations that resulted from those surgeries. This has been my dream to have a somewhat normal stomach again. This happened to me at 21 and I would love to see my stomach again.

kimmers25- I am so nervous that I have been getting headaches but i know this is something I have always wanted. I have been searching for someone who has a scar like mine and haven't found one. Is my stomach unusual?
January 29, 2011

Try to relax a bit so that you don't make yourself sick!   I don't think that your tummy is any more unusual than the next person.  We all have different shapes, bumps, lumps and scars.  Your fine...and soon to be all fixed up!

Try not to compare yourself to others pictures because there are never any two alike.  That searching alone will make you nuts.

Hang in there and relax!!!

Kimmers-thanks for your words of encouragement. I saw your results and you look awesome.

I have a couple of questions. I don't workout maybe walk sometimes so I guess I am not in shape at all. Is is too late to do some exercise tapes. I am busy working and taking care of my kids, etc to work out. I know a poor excuse. I love walking and usually do 3 xs a week but it has been snowing.

Should I start a multivitamin now I thought vitamin E is not good do. Is there one without E in it.

should I buy amica gel and Palmer Vitamin E for after and do you put that on your stomach right away or do you wait?

arnica gel i bought and used it once only so far...but will use it more...the palmers oil or bio oil u cant use until ur surgeon tell u its ok...thats what he told me..aprox 3 weeks after!!!

they also told me to get off any multivitamins one week before surgery!!!

Hi mommy41,

I am more than happy to be here to help yo through this process.

Walking is great!  You just keep up with that and you will be fine.  Don't make yourself crazy right now trying to do an entirely new exercise program.   If you are walking 3-4 times a week that is great.  That is some good cardio.  If the weather is bad go to a mall and walk laps inside.  You can do some window shopping for new clothes while you walk.

Check with your doctor about the multi vitamin.  There are many supplements that you are not able to take for up to two weeks prior to surgery.  You definitely should not take the Vitamin E though.  I take a vitamin B super complex and vitamin C every day and have done so for years.  I had to stop all but the C prior to surgery.

The Palmer's Oil is for use 2-3 weeks after surgery.  Once the incision is healed and no longer has open areas you can begin using the oil.

hi mommy, trust me i been looking for someone with a tummy like mine too..i was obsessing on finding someone that did..but i saw pics on the net...i wanted to know for sure how i would look like...but everyone is different and with different results as well i think!

okay I guess it is best not to take anything before surgery. My scar is not the normal scar and I have been reading up about scars above belly button that it is not easy to do. PS said he was going to bring down the scar from above the belly button down to my tt scar and I will have a 2 inch vertical scar and hopefully this will work out. I read on here that some PS said you can't fix a scar above belly button because of blood supply issue, etc. I guess that is what I am so nervous about it. I am going to cross my fingers and put all my trust in my surgeon.

Is it okay not to be in shape before surgery. I never really exercised except some walking.

hi mommy, i did exercise before but i havent done any like 3 months before surgery ..just because i have chronic lower back pain and i couldnt do it...but i find after surgery u use alot of your thigh muscles to get yourself up and your arms to bring yourself up...im on pain meds and it seems like i dont have a sore back anymore...dont know if im being medicated alot or what...but it hasnt been a issue here! dont worry if you are not in shape physically..as long as u can pull yourself up...and have someone there to help u the first 2 days for sure!

As someone suggested, I went online and found Make me heal vitamin for 59.95. Is this something I should get for the swelling and healing process? I would have to buy soon as February 10th is 2 weeks before surgery.

Hey how is everything? I actually haven't used anything on my scar in a long time..months. I do still occasionally massage with lotion after I shower but that's it. I can't believe how much it has faded since summer time. I never thought it would!
