I love Dominic’s passion and enthusiasm. He is very engaging and open and spent a long time answering my questions and showing me photos of his work. This communication has continued both before and after my surgery, with him answering any queries immediately by email, text or phone call. I was impressed with Dominic’s understanding of the aesthetics of the face and like the fact that he specializes in facial surgery alone. Dominic sent reassuring messages in the days leading up to surgery and met me when I arrived on the day itself, taking me to the ‘pod’ to get ready. There was no ‘hanging around’ time to increase nerves! In fact I felt very calm. The numbing injections were virtually pain free and the whole surgery a ‘pleasant’ experience. I dozed a bit and chatted and laughed. There was no pain or anxiety. My stitches came out on day 7 (also painless) and now on day 8 the swelling and bruising is subsiding more rapidly. The most noticeable bruise was under one eye, due to the brow lift.

I look forward to enjoying my ‘fresher face’ and cannot speak highly enough of Dominic….

I'm glad this has been a positive experience for you so far. Why did you decide to go with a Quick Lift rather than a full facelift?
January 26, 2014
Thank you debi3 for posting your experience. I am so pleased you are already enjoying your fresher face. You are responsible just as much as I am for your fast recovery as you have been a model patient! If I can help answer Angiemcc's question? The "quicklift" is purely a licensed name for a type of facelift. Actually, I no longer use the name as I think it is misleading for the actual facelift I perform. The Quicklift described by Dominic Brandy takes 1-1.5 hours and is a modification of a MACS and S-lift. It is a very effective lift, but the facelifts I perform take 3-4 hours and involve SMAS tightening, reapproximation and facial liposculpture. The only thing "quick" about it is the recovery and this is due to the preoperative preparation, operative/ anaesthetic technique and post operative guidance. Hope this helps clarify. Kind regards Dominic

Hi Paulina. This was the approximate cost in UK sterling, for both procedures, although the prices have increased a lot since.

I am very curious how Dr Bray has so many patients that rarely show any bruising and all sit down to write glowing reviews, but rarely show a price for surgery. There is something very odd about all of these reviews. I had great surgery from a professional, but still had the bruised melon head with drains etc. Strange...

Hi. If you look at Dominic Bray's website you will see those of us featured in all our post op bruised glory! I am Debs52 and have a lovely bruise at 7 and 14 days. All the testimonials we write as Dominic's patients are 100% genuine. He is a master in the art of facelifting and we are all so happy with our results. None of his photos are altered in any way. Because he operates in his clinic where patients are sedated and semi upright in a 'dentist type' chair, trauma of surgery is minimised, recovery is quicker and no drains are needed. He also advises a pre and post op low salycilate diet to reduce bleeding and will laser treat post operatively any bruises that are lingering. There have been a few suspicious comments on here recently but I am many others will personally testify to his genuine brilliance (and I receive no commission!!!???) xx

I had my surgery with Dominic Bray last year and have recently posted my 1 year review photos on this site. I am a 'Bruiser' and if you look at my 1 week photos on Dominic Bray website in the gallery- i am Sandra 53. You will see my bruising in all it's glory and I have got to say I am probably one of the worst case scenarios as I bruise very very easily. However I have met many ladies at the waiting area at Dominic's clinic who have barely any bruising- Dominic doesn't need to use drains etc as not only has he mastered his way of surgery to minimise bruising, but he carries out his surgery with sedation and local anaesthetic, So no General anaesthetic = NO drains, less downtime, less bruising & swelling! Dominic is a highly regarded, amazingly highly skilled facial plastic surgeon who deserves each and every one of his glowing reviews- quite simply there is an army of very happy patients ( myself included) out there who feel our reviews might be helpful to other patients. I don't think it strange that we are all so lucky to have found Dominic, less all those nasty drains & Risky General anaesthetics! Regarding prices, these are all listed on the surgeons website- so if you are interested in having any work done with Dominic, you will get a very good idea of how much this will cost. X

I believe my safety and my face was far too important to risk all by travelling abroad for 'Cheap' surgery on a conveyor belt system- why would I have done that when we have the best highly trained surgeons in the UK? That's why I spent 2 years researching to find the Best- Dominic Bray in Harley Street, London! X

I can understand your concerns if something seems too good to be true then naturally we're suspicious. I'm a patient of Dominic's and had a face, neck lift and liposuction about 2 weeks ago. I have a lot of bruising and swelling, as I developed a haematoma which needed drained 3 times. My care from Dominic has been excellent, and I've had extra laser treatment to reduce the bruising. I spite of having complications, I'm very happy with the results of my surgery so far, a smoother neck, no jowls and a firm chin line. Haematoma's happen after surgery, but the mark of a good PS is the care and attention you get afterwards.
