I had my lower abdominal treated. I had the option of the smaller instrument, but they told me the larger is more effective, sometimes creating a noticeable 'ledge' on the upper that may also need to be treated later. If it works that well, I will have no issues with getting another treatment.

Pain at the time was less than anticipated, but definate tenderness and numb sensation for a couple of weeks afterwards. I am 3 weeks post zeltiq and will continue to post my results.

The photos are pre zeltiq, same day after, and 3 weeks post.

Hi its now 7.5 weeks, and I can definately feel a difference. It was something I felt more than saw at first, a wonderful tightening sensation in my lower abs. When I am driving for example, I really feel less of a gut overhang. My belly now looks and feels like I am always holding it in, even though I am not. This is proving to be exactly what they claimed, of up to 1/3rd fat reduction per treatment. I am so glad this wasnt a waste of money as I have spent thousands on gimmicky treatments that had no effect in the past. I will keep updating my pictures, as reading realself reviews made me decide on Zeltiq in the first place. Btw I am exactly the same weight (to the gram), in all these photos, and I have not done a scrap of excercise (bar house cleaning), as I really wanted to accurately monitor Zeltiqs results. Thanks for reading, good luck to all. (my skin looks a little scratched in todays pics, but its because I just woke up, they are creases from my pyjama top)

These latest pics with the denimn shorts are at 11 weeks post Zeltiq. I have also dropped 2kg (4.4lb)by simply restricing a little of what I eat, but still indulging in dessert. My weight seemed stuck at 54kgs(119pounds) for nearly a year. I was going to stay exactly the same to really see how the Zeltiq worked, but the weight loss seems to have triggered the Zeltiq effect, as I have been this new weight many times before,in my 20's but my lower tummy was always more noticeable. I really tried hard to not hold my belly in with these pics, or stretch too high, but in most of the earlier pics you will see I did have my arms folded behind my head. Even if I strain to push my belly out, there is way less, so I really persoanlly do feel the improvement, I hope my pictures reflect this, and help others make educated decisons for themselves. My last pics will be at the 4 month mark. Thanks for reading.
Great review?

They were pretty good except they asked me for payment 2 weeks before the procedure. I told them I would pay on the day, it may have been a mistake, as I already had deposited $600. No massaging after the treatment, they implied the machine had a massage feature. Excellent support she stayed with me the whole time, never leaving the room once. No follow up, but that hasnt bothered me.

I had the coolsculpting done here in AZ last week. I had my love handles and the left side of my abdomen (it's bigger for some reason). The doctor I went to is very reputable and they charge about $500 an area. She said the reason other places charge more is that they are still paying for their machines. The pain I felt after, was like I was stung by a scorpion. Now it is still tender but starting to feel itchy. So I am hoping that means it is working. I did not get the area massaged after. But I think if they even tried too, I would have bit their head off. It's weird how it hurts more after. They used the smaller attachment because of my size. I am 5'3 and around 130 lbs. Because my abdomen was so uneven, I may have to go back for a second session. They were very great and made it more comfortable by propping pillows all around me and put in a movie, which made it go by faster. Good luck and thanks for sharing the pictures. I hope I look that good!

Wow Debbie those patches sound good, I agree you cant put a price on your comfort. I am jut sorry you are still in pain, and hope my review in no way underestimated the discomfort levels. I am terrified of the thought of pain, but I think my physical pain tolerance may be higher than I think. Cant wait to hear how you progress.

The dr prescribed lidocane patches for pain and I picked them up this morning. SO much better! 4 of them costs $35.00, worth it to make the pain go away:)

Well thats very interesting re the stock, thankyou very much for sharing. My itching and numbness lasted for a while, even now there is a very slight sensation when I scratch my tummy. I can only remark that this may be a very good sign the treatment has worked. It does feel very strange, a bit unpleasant, but just try not to take any iboprufen or anti swelling medication, just tylenol IMHO

With for instance a laser machine once you but it you own it and can do it as many times as you want for profit. Zeltiq is coming out with more technologies, and I am buying some stock in the company. Sorry back to the subject. I got my coolsculpting done on Feb 2nd was told I would see results April 2nd. It hurts a bit today, weird but it kind of itches!

Yes I also got the distinct impression that every time they turn the machine on they are accountable to Zeltiq. I would also think that Zeltiq wouldnt allow these providers to overcharge too much either, but of course I have no idea of the contractual side of thngs. It seems cleverly designed to prevent the use of second hand machines for home use as in IPL etc, maybe noone actually ever owns the Zeltiq machines, just leasing. Shares in Zeltiq now theres a thought, but its probably too late now to make decent returns, had I known before the launch probably a good idea, but then again first hand experience is what sold me on the concept.

My Larger attachment was normally 1300 but I got 30% off special for $900 us dollars.

They cannot come down on price on these treatments to much because they have to pay Coolsculpting company per treatment. I heard they have to put a card in that allows a certain amount of treatments, and then they have to buy a new card that costs thousands. It's not like they buy the machine and can do it unlimited, they have to keep paying company. I may be off subject but this is called a "cash cow" and reason many are buying stock in company.

Yes dont forget this is Perth, Australia. We can pay more for many cosmetic procedures, even in comparison to the Eastern States of Australia. The smaller attachment was $900 but I opted for the large which is usually $1800 but they had a $200 off special, which they run a few times a year. As I am fairly small 5"1 /155cm, the large attachment seemed to suck everything up including the saddle bag area. All they warned about was the possibility of the 'ledge' effect, then requiring a later $900 small attachment (top abdomen) treatment. It looks doubtful I will need this though.

Mine charges $1800 for the lower abs but I got it done for free because they used me for a demo. My saddlebags were 25% off.

I also wanted to ask, you state that your price was 1600 with only the lower abs? Its normally around 1000 and i was wondering if you got the sides done as well?? I really appreciate you posting all of this information it is so helpful!!

Thanks everyone, its really exciting actually. Good Luck Debbie, and I hope you are not feeling too much discomfort, just remember it will be worth it. I guess the only thing I can add to readers from a totally non medical viewpoint based on my own lifestyle, is dont be too afraid of healthy fats before or the after procedure. I love avocado and salmon, and I dont scrimp on my good oils. I didnt change anything in my diet until week 9 as I really wanted to see the Zeltiq work its magic. But maybe I am wrong and its success may be related to 'keep doing what youre doing with minimal changes'.The technician said 'nothing' would make a difference as each individual has their own elimination process, in Zeltiqs case up to 4 months, but I couldnt help but try and speed up things. So I definately made more of a point to keep my water intake consistent and min of 2 litres (5 pints) per day even when I didnt feel like it. Whether that helps or helped probably not, but my skin appreciated it anyway.Yes I should raise this forum with the clinic, lol, I would be back in an instant, but I am not sure there will be enough left for another Zeltiq... RealSelf is the first site that I have posted in of this nature and with pics, and the feedback has been all the way very encouraging and positive. I have gained so much from this site, and have scrolled over many procedures for the last year or so. Its really nice to have been able to finally put something back.

Yes Best I have seen too. This is a great review com plete with pics. If you ntell your DR how many people have gone to this page, maybe he/she will give you a discount if you ever want anything else! LOL!

Wow I thought your results were good before, but there is a dramatic diffrence in your 11 week pics. I did go ahead and get this done Feb 2nd, so I am expecting to see results in 2 months.

WOW! The last pictures are amazing! What a big difference! I'm in shock because these are the best results i've seen so far from this procedure.
Pufferpunk 4 Feb 2012
I agree, HUGE difference in your tummy! I can't wait to see my after pics. Hopefully getting them this week.

Well thanks everyone, but you wont believe when I post my next pics which will be 2 months at 16 Jan 2012. I have dropped 1.5kgs (sorry not sure pound conversion) and my tummy pouch has nearly gone, side angle its totally flat. My partner and I cant believe how suddenly it went/ I am not sure if toxins are stored in fat cells but I did feel a little belly queasy last week, not a laxative effect but noticeable to me. Pain wise, yes it will hurt a bit the night and days after, but only when you touch it. Sleeping and driving, lifting things, no problems, just when you brush up on something accidently. Thats how I found it anyway, and I am pain phobic, I took over the counter pain meds for the procedure, but it wasnt really required. I jumped in my car and drove an hour to my hairdressers, sat in that chair for 3 more hours, no real discomfort, just adjust how you sit. Good luck everyone, I cant wait to post my next pictures to be taken mid Feb.

Wow pic of you in the pink pajama pants looks great. Did you get the front of your stomach done and love handles? Because both look smaller. I am suppose to get this done on Tuesday, can you tell me how the pain level was the week after?
mellejane 17 Jan 2012
Well that really sucks.....It was done at a highly reputed Plastic Surgery centre, not some hick studio. I can only stay hopeful and question them on my follow up.
beautydebbie 29 Jan 2012
Sorry you did not get massage, but overall you look great, if I was you I would be happy with results. This is one of the best before/ after pics I have seen. I will make sure I get massage
soberstuff 17 Jan 2012
sorry massage!
soberstuff 17 Jan 2012
the message is very important to the treatment you have better results. Whoever did it was not informed very well

Give yourself a lot more time for results from this.
