Dr. McGuire did a breast reduction on me in 2006 and I was very happy with the results. Since then, I have wanted to go back for a TT. I'm so tired of having to purchase clothes that will hide my stomach and feeling so badly about my appearance. I am very nervous about doing this and the recovery process but just keep telling myself that it will be so worth it in the end. For the procedure, I will be staying overnight at the surgery center and my husband and wonderful daughter plan to take care of me once I am home. Planning on renting a hospital bed as others have suggested along with a shower seat, and walker. No turning back now, this is really going to happen! I'll post more photos as I progress. If it helps others my stats are: 5'7"...195 lbs...waist measurements under bra: 40"...1" above belly button: 41"...1" below belly button: 43".

Well today was the day. Been out of surgery for 3 hours. Very painful on wakening and unbearable when I was moved from OR gurney to bed in room (staying overnight) have no idea what anything looks like as I'm pretty wrapped up with 2" lipo foam under binder. No word on how much was removed till I see Dr. In the morning. Now that I'm settled and the pain meds have kicked in I'm more comfortable and it is tolerable. Surgery took 2 1/2 hours. I do have a catheter which I'm thankful for. Would rather pee on myself than try to get up again! I do have a photo with binder if anyone is interested. The stain is from some spillage from the Jp drains. Will update as i progress. At least I'm on the other side of this and know what I'm dealing with.

Swollen like a bloated tick and insomnia

16 hours post op, look like I've gained 30 pounds since this morning! Upper legs, arms and even stomach are so swollen!! Despite my efforts of massive water drinking and heavy urine output I'm still a swollen mess. Didn't expect that. Not much of an appetite but watching sodium count of what I do eat. Very, very nervous to take a look at my tummy tomorrow because it looks so big! Considering not looking at all and just taking docs word for it! I don't think I could emotionally handle the horror, lol!! I haven't slept since surgery. I guess I'm one of the lucky few that narcotics make hyper! Got to do a couple laps around hall, not too bad pain wise. They have me on Percocet and Valium. Oh and the bruising I've seen so far from the lipo is horrendous, looks way worse than it feels.
