WORTH IT$7,000

After an over 100lb weight loss through hard a$$ work and not gastric bypass, then two pregnancies my tummy was a floppy mess of skin. Had full tummy tuck with muscle repair on Nov 7, 2012. Waiting for swelling to bugger off but happy thus far with how it all looks!!! Of course it hurt a bit but so did hating how I looked every single day!

Congratulations on your weight loss! No matter what the method, it's hard work losing that much weight, but you must feel so much better now!

November 29th -- 3 weeks and 1 day post-op. Other than what I call my 'dough roll" above my incision (not seroma, just normal swelling) I am beyond thrilled. I have zero pain other than muscle soreness from time to time. My walking is incredibly slow which frustrates me but hey, I'll deal with it. Had a great post-op visit yesterday. Am bandage-free and incision-free and am allowed to ditch the awful compression garment next week. I have mixed feelings about that but I think that is pretty normal. My doc said I'm healing exactly as expected and she's happy with that. Yay!!

I have to also note that the aftercare doctor who works with Dr Bergeret-Galley is AMAZING (but in my brain fog, I can't remember his name). He's actually had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and total "gets"what you are going through physically and emotionally which is a huge help for me.

Have planned a beach vacation for May. Hoping my swelling is less substantial by then lol.

Thanks everyone!!! Yesterday was 3 weeks (already!?) and I feel great. Saw my Dr for a post-op visit and she confirmed everything is on target and healing beautifully. My scar is so good! Seriously, who would have ever thought I'd say that! HAHA :-) I'm so happy. Why did I wait!?!? After my appt my husband and I took a walk up the Champs-Elysees. I was still slow but it felt nice to be out and about. I also bought a new winter coat...in a SMALLER SIZE cuz it fit even with the swelling. YIPPEEEE!

So tomorrow is 4 weeks post-op! Wow time flies once the pain is gone. I'm still swollen and the lower belly above te incision is rock hard still. I can fit pre-op jeans but by late afternoon they start to hurt. I get scared sometimes because everything you do involves the ab muscles in some capacity. Getting in/out of the car, rolling over in my sleep, etc. Is this fear normal?!?
