Still waiting for three months mark so that any may be certain after that. Looks like my number in the left eye is increasing a bit, but fluctuation is normal within 3 months. Hope for the better, all other symptoms are same.

Guys I had a diopter of -9.5 left and -9.0 in right eye. I'll be 28 on 23 feb 2013, I got it done on 1st January 2013 means at this time when I am writing this review it has been 35 days or 5 weeks since I had my LASIK. Now at this time my diopters are -0.25 in left and -0.5 in right with a cylinder 0f 0.5 in right also but it is up to me that I take that cylinder number or not, this 0.5 cylinder number doesn't matter that much. I was amazed that the more weeker eye got more corrected. I have been to my opthalmologist 3 times since that day and he told me that now I can have a follow up visit after 3 months, he told me that flap is healing good with no microscopic wrinkles or irregular flap edges or corneal haze. I am feeling great overall, I am loving it BUT night is not a good time for me neither are indoors, especially at night indoors irritate me more because of starbursts, hallos and sometimes, I can't say it double vision because I see one of a thing not two, so it is not double vision but it is like a margine line, on one side of light color objects, for e.g consider a photo frame which has a golden outline, I may see another golden line around any side of that frame (it may be left or may be right side) and it seems to be coming from inside the original boundary. As if the boundaries of that frame were not enough to restrict that color in its limits and as if color is flowing through or emerging from one side of the real boundary making another margine line beside the real outline. This is a very minor feeling and when I concentrate more it increases a bit, actually it varies some times it is more and other times it is less and some times it is not present. All of these problems are more in left eye which was -9.5 and which is now -0.25 and less in right eye which was -9.0 and now -0.5. But overall it is negligible, also it felt like brightness and sharpness in my left eye are elevated and it is more foggy or hazy then right eye. From left eye I can't clearly read things on a small whiteboard from a certain distance as the whiteness of the board tends to overcome every thing on that board. Right eye is fine in this sense. I am sure that these conditions will get better after 3 to six months. Day is a perfect time for me I am totally normal in day and enjoy it a lot till dusk. I guess it is too early to have any concerns I shall wait 6 months before getting concerned. My overall concerns are related to the following issues.
1.. Flap dislocation or dislodge
I can't have my former enthusiastic life because I have to kep it in mind that anything shouldn't touch my eye. I can't do contact sports as there are chances of flap dislocation.
2..Corneal actasia after LASIK
3..Wheather I can become blind after 30 to 40 years or anytime after LASIK.
These are major concerns but beside all of these I will say that with such a strong prescription it is worth it. It has changed my life a lot, now I am not handicaped. I just use glasses of my present number in night driving and thats it, in day I can do aaaany thing without them.
I'll appreciate if any doctor read it and can suggest anything to lessen my concerns.
regards,
Ammar
