I have been using botox consistently for the last 8 years every 3.5 (in the beginning) to now about 4.5 months. I have never skipped a session and have never extended it past these time frames. I had terrible forehead wrinkles due to genetics and now you do not even see one line on my forehead. After seeing the low amount of people that said it was worth it, I was shocked. If it was not for Botox, I am not sure what my face would look like today. I think the problem I encounter with most of my friends is they are not consistent and want instantaneous results. Stick with it and I promise you will be amazed. I will be 40 this year and my skin looks really young and unwrinkled.

Have you noticed any new wrinkles in the 8 yrs? When you first started using botox did you need more botox the first few years and with time found you needed less? Is your botox now lasting a longer time? Many thx.

I have not noticed any new wrinkles on my forehead, eyes (crows feet) or in between my eyebrows. I do have some wrinkling underneath my eyes, but that is not an area that is really covered by Botox. I used to wear off about every 3-3.5 months in the beginning and when it wore off the wrinkles were still very deep. Now, when it wears off it is very gradual. I definitely use less units than before. I would say the amount has been cut down by around 40% or maybe a little bit more. My botox lasts at least 4.5 months. I definitely could stretch it out further, but I think after doing it for so long, that I prefer not to let the muscle regain the full strength.

Do you think your forehead muscles woukd go back to where they were before you started botox if you stopped botox ? What I mean is do you think the botox would have weakened the forehead muscles that they would b less than what they were before you started botox? I've always wondered that.

I am assuming they would after some time. I have never let it go that long, so I am not sure. Obviously I am not a doctor, but from what I gather is muscle has memory, and I think eventually they would regain strength.

Looks great! Does the physician himself perform the injections or is it a nurse? I'm also in the KC area and looking for a great botox injector, preferably a physician.

The Nurse does them. I like that they charge per area, instead of per unit. You know exactly how much your Botox will cost every time. If you don't like how they do it the first time you can go back and they will fix it, for example, if you need more in an area. I know from experience it takes 1-3 times for them to get it right on your face as everyone's face is different. They do mark in your file where they inject and how much so when you come back next time they remember.

I learned a lesson about NURSES and SPAS injecting it. I will only allow a DOCTOR and he better let me ICE real good just before and right after or I am leaving. Ice before and after to void bruising. Do not take Aspirin, VIT E, or fish oil the day before. Take ANICA before and after

Full Face for 450.00 and that is total Forehead FROZEN, in between brows, bunny lines and crows feet. :) Botox would be 700.00 SOME greedy Doctors in Las Vegas are trying to charge the same for BOTOX and DESPORT, Just say NO ! :) Full face Desport should NEVER be over 450.00.

For me, it's not worth the horrible side effects. It worked so well. Sad because I WILL NOT use it again. My vision, dizziness and fatigue made me depressed..and still is making me lousy. I can not jeopardize anything while raising my children. I tried it, like I've always wanted to. My body simply can't accept it.

I am with you Mhv2014 I am terribly ill getting better I think but I have not been able to do Botox as I get terrible side effects. I feel awful. May I ask you how you knew Botox made you feel so bad? I am seeing a Dr she is a Gasrto Dr and thinks that my digestive track has been damaged due to the weakening of my bowel muscles but it took me a long time to actually put it all together as it has effected many parts of my body. Hope you feel better soon.

I recently switched to Botox at Mirabile MD and so far it appears to be decent. They are definitely trying to accomodate how I like my face...ie very little movement in certain areas. This is my second treatment there and after the first treatment I wanted a touch up but had to go out of the country so was unable to follow up. We will see if I need a touch up this time, however, I had her increase the amount of units from the previous time.
